This is a great idea and the camera is functionally acceptable, but the quality was not what I expected at this price point. Here's a few pros and cons from my experience: PROS Has motion tracking Decent battery life (**not amazing though, don't get too excited) Able to be controlled fully via the app Comes with a 16gb SD card for recording Charges via standard usb-c Capable of full 360 degree rotation CONS Really grainy camera quality if the lighting isn't perfect Would like more shot quality control and customization Sometimes the tracking takes a long time to latch onto a new focus You cannot retrieve any playback or photos unless the camera is turned on (the app is not cloud storage) The grainy exposure of the camera really docks the most points from the Canon Pick. I am a media professional so my view may be a bit bias, but I'd expect a clearer picture or at least the ability to adjust the shot to improve the picture quality. Nonetheless, it is wifi capable and can connect directly to my phone, plus photos can save onto the app for me to easily download as well, which does make it a decent investment. However again, at this price point, a $500 camera should have much better picture quality in my opinion. I'd still recommend it though.

I know these days that everyone uses their phone to take pictures. I wanted something with more zoom, and this camera has it. It is small and easy to carry and use. Has wifi so I can load the pics to my phone. I really like it.

The camera came in great condition. It works well, I love that the screen flips. Highly recommend.

Easy & simple to use for my tweenager! We both love how it is not complicated like so many other cameras! Perfect size & takes great pictures!

I love this camera! Was tired of taking pictures on my phone and wanted to get a new camera, specifically a Canon. Love the flip screen for selfies. Easy to use, quality pictures. Very happy with purchase.

This is exactly what I was looking to buy. I replaced my desktop and the new one is on 11. Canon does not support my old camera on that operating system. This one is supported and I can download only the new pictures. It is a little expensive but, is seems camera prices have become stupid high because everyone uses their phone. It takes great pictures and it's easy to use.

Better than the g7x if you know how to play with the settings!

Images come out crisp and with an airbrush-like effect, making the photos look lightly edited. As a baby photographer, I really enjoy the final result. The flip screen and Bluetooth app are incredible features missing from my Nikon DSLR. I enjoy using this camera on adventures, as it doesn’t require the same level of delicacy and care as my Nikon and it’s large detachable lense. 10/10 for this camera I love it and get to enjoy photography anywhere I am now!

It takes spectacular photos, it's small which makes it easy to transport, and it records divine 4k videos.

I always thought that Canon cameras were great. And it was all true because when I have tried the Canon Powershot SX740 camera, I was surprised to see that the camera quality and the video quality is great. I think it’s pretty easy to use this amazing camera. I recommend you reading the manual book first before you start using the Canon Powershot SX740 camera for the first time. I am a beginner for photography and I think this camera is one of the best beginner Canon camera I own. I recommend this camera to everyone who is a beginner for photography.

I bought this camera to replace a Canon Rebel T6. I was mainly using that Canon to record my nephews jiu-jitsu competitions. Carrying the shoulder bag with the camera, lenses, extra batteries was getting old. And besides the competitions which would take place about once every 3 months, the camera would just on the shelf unused. I would not take the camera on trips specifically because of the bulkiness. I was not using the camera to its full potential. So I sold it and bought this camera. Unfortunately because of covid, there haven’t been any jiu-jitsu completions but i’ve taken several photos. The zoom is outstanding for a point and shoot. Small and easy to travel with.

I needed a new camera to replace my old old Canon camera and wanted something with a good optical zoom. This fit what I was looking for. It has great optical zoom for a point-and-shoot. It also has digital zoom capabilities beyond the optical zoom if you don’t mind decrease in clarity that comes With digital zoom. The hinged screen is a nice feature, but not as useful as the swiveling screen my old Canon had. The only complaint I have is that you have to manually deploy the flash when you want to use it even if you have it set to automatic. It isn’t a huge issue once you are used to it, but if your previous camera’s flash popped up automatically you may not like this.

Great camera and easy to carry with tons of extras and great long distance shooting, plus lots of great movie shots. Can do with little weight what much bigger and bulkier cameras can.

Love this camera. Thought I wanted a g7x but this camera is almost identical! The zoom power is great. Lots of setting. A very nice compact point and shoot.

Obsessed. All my friends ask me to take it with us whenever we go out, so if you don’t want to be carrying it around and being the camera person in your group then don’t get it. But it’s such good quality.

I have only used a few of the features available with this camera, but I have been impressed. I have used both the Bluetooth and WiFi connections to this camera with great success. I have used the app on my Samsung phone to control the camera for remotely taking pictures. The flip up display allows you view the picture from in front of the camera as you take family pictures, with you in them for a change. You can easily transfer the pictures to your phone via Bluetooth or WiFi. The pictures are high quality. The zoom is also excellent.

Very pleased with this purchase. The pucture quality exceeds my expectations and the zoom lens is amazing in such a compact unit. I wish the battery life was a little more robust, but I got a second battery and so far that's working out great. The app for my phone is a little tricky but works well once connected.

Though it was bought Nov 22, I didn't receive it until December 24th. My first impression, I was amazed how small it is. It fits beautifully in the small camera bag, including manual, both chargers, padded neck strap and micro cleaning cloth. It Seems to be well made, However, if you have big hands, or are sight challenged, you may not want this camera, The camera, as well as the controls are very small, Despite its size, it does take great pictures. The zoom on it is awesome. I like it a lot and would recommend it.
