Powerful Pocket Camera!
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I Wanted a Pocket Camera with Good Zoom Distance and this is It! Easy to Set Up and Get Started on Capturing what You Love. As You Get to Know this Camera Better it has Options for Manual Use that will Surprise and intrigue. If Manual is not Your Thing, All Automatic will do You just Fine. I Really like that I can Transfer Pictures Wirelessly to my Cell Phone, Tablet or Computer with the Canon Camera Connect App.

This camera is awesome!

Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5This camera is awesome! I use it for hiking and it takes awesome clear zoomed pics and vids! These negative posts are from people who compare to big professional cameras. There is plenty of settings on here to do some tricky pics. The zoom is what attracted me and it is very stable in full zoom.

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I love how this camera can give a professional picture with a small case. It is everything I hoped for. Frames per second gives great pictures for baseball as well. I took a picture of the moon one evening that totally made it worthwhile.

It’s like a Mini Canon 5D with wifi
Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I was looking for a small handheld camera to take on adventures, with out having to lug around my canon 5D mark iii, as it’s way to heavy. This camera reminded me of a mini 5D with WiFi, the quality is by far better than I imagined. See my test shot of the moon standing in my living room last night, taken on auto mod. then I zoomed in & wow the photo speaks for itself. The WiFi set up with my iPhone 11 pro was very easy to set up & I love the easy access to transfer photos from the camera to the phone. I highly recommend regardless if you have any experience or not this camera will have you shooting photos like a pro.

Big bang for your bucks!!
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Pros mentioned:Ease of use, Picture quality, Video qualityI bought this camera ahead of a once-in-a-lifetime vacation. Back in the day, I used a film SLR, digital SLR, and eventually a Canon SX10IS. For personal reasons, I didn't want to bring something even that big along. I'm SO happy I didn't! The zoom on this baby is incredible! Quick video! So light, and intuitive to figure out without needing to refer to the quick start guide. And my pictures and videos were AWESOME! My dad, who fancies himself a semi-pro, and carried all of his big gear and lenses around, was a wee bit envious of how quickly I could get a shot just as good, if not BETTER than his! I think my zoom was better than anything he had with him! ;) *I loved*: size, weight, instructions on screen for various features, movable screen (to see better in glare situations, or for selfies!) *Meh*: wrist strap is so long that it's practically non-functional (I had to swap with another device I had for fear of dropping camera), screen location seems like it might get scratched and camera is hard to hold without getting your fingers all over it (my SX10IS has a screen that opens up + a viewfinder), wi-fi capabilities are quite cumbersome/slow and I haven't found a way to send just one photo instead of dumping them all (Admittedly, I have not yet paired my smartphone with the camera, so maybe that's different.) Overall, it was an important part of my wonderful vacation, and I'm looking forward to continuing to use it in my everyday creative life!

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5I’ve owned several Canon PowerShot cameras over the past decade-plus. Canon has perfected many elements of this model over the years with these newer iterations. The optical zoom for bird and other nature photography has been great!

Q: QuestionIs this camera any good for vlogging or should I look for something else?
Asked by LuisFont45.
- A:Answer I think its excellent for vlogging as long as your not in windy weather because then it takes long for the camera to focus but other than that the camera is awesome I use it to record sports to make highlights
Answered by Sargent25
Q: QuestionI'm concerned with lag time from when shutter is pressed and image is taken. I read one review where this was a problem on the SX740. I got rid of a Canon SureShot several years ago because of this very issue. Has anyone else experienced this?
Asked by Gigi08.
- A:Answer I did not have trouble. Obviously it is not as fast as an SLR camera, but I had no problem in taking shots in the amount of time I desired.

Q: QuestionThis camera was on Amazon for less money & it included accessories i.e. case, battery, tripod, memory card, etc. Two people had to return it and the camera wasn't under warranty because Canon said it shouldn't have been sold in the USA. Anyone experience?
Asked by RosL.
- A:Answer No issues with my camera. I absolutely love it & I’m covered under Best Buy warranty if something happens. I can take it back & get a new one or put my money towards another camera. Amazon maybe cheaper but u will only get 30 days with them. Hope this helps

Q: QuestionI’m having a Heck of a time getting my camera paired with my phone to transfer photos to phone from the phone.
Asked by Eclaire.
- A:Answer Make sure you have the Canon Camera Connect app on your phone. Make sure both the phone and camera are connected to the same WiFi network. Once this is done, push the WiFi connect button on the camera. It will then search for devices. Once it discovers it, you select it and name it. From that point on it will automatically recognize your phone. It works great once it is connected. However, if your phone goes to sleep while connected, it will disconnect with the camera. The app MUST be open on your phone the whole time you are using it.

Q: QuestionIs this camera waterproof or at least water resistant looking for a good vlogging camera that can be used at beaches, waterparks, etc? If not what is a good waterproof or resisant camera for volgging?
Asked by blogger2343.
- A:Answer You're going to want a GoPro...there are virtually no waterproof/resistant premium point-and-shoots
Answered by Alex
Q: QuestionCan you enlarge the zoom shots to canvas 8 x 10 or 11 x 14 to display or hang?
Asked by Dee.
- A:Answer Yes. As long as you don't crop in post production, the amount of pixels and the optical zoom allow you print up to poster size, which is 36x24 inches.

Q: QuestionIs this camera just as good as the Canon g7x for vlogging ?
Asked by Niya.
- A:Answer It's a great camera if your on a budget. It will not disappoint but if you have the xtra cash I would go with the g7.
