Gave to my teenage daughter so she can make videos. Great how you can see yourself during filming.

Purchased camera for upcoming trip, delivery was to be 2 day, arrived on third day after I left for the airport. There were no weather issues affecting delivery, very dissatisfied.

Hi there,
I bought this camera for my kid sister as a Christmas present. She was so excited when she saw it, only to turn it on and it won’t turn on. No light or any indicator that it even works. We tried charging the battery and it indicated full, yet it won’t turn on. So disappointed. Will be returning it after the holiday.
Thanks.

Horrible, and best buy sold me a used camera which came with a hair stuck in it for regular retail price and refused exchange.
And it’s nothing 4K quality about the camera

So far, I am really liking this. It was a little on/off keeping a connection the first time I set it up which sucked. It kept disconnecting or it was not able to connect at all. I ended up looking up if anyone else had the same issue and sure enough other people did. Some people deleted the app and re-installed it. I didn't have to do that (even though it was not difficult to install anyways). I just clicked on forget the device under bluetooth and reconnected. That ended up solving my problem so all is good there. Once it was up and running, it was pretty neat and easy to use. It very small which is awesome, but I wonder how nicely the pictures will develop. I am looking forward to capturing some great videos and pictures this holiday season. I love how it rotates all around so you can place it on a table and just let it snap away. You do have to be in a well lit area so if you dont have a bright lighting in your home, then it will keep alerting you to place in a well lit area. I love that you can also be in the app taking pictures manually. It is nice to have both options. It comes with a lightning charger and plug so it charges pretty quickly. I really am looking forward to using this during family gatherings.

Took a few pics of it and wasn't impressed overall. Decided to stick with my camera for ease of use.

Picture quality doesn’t meet the expectations. I didn’t like it.

I love this camera! For the price, the quality is great and it does what it needs to do - capture beautiful moments. I love how easy it is to import photos, you just need the app and bluetooth. One thing I was hoping to capture more clearly is the background of a photo, similar to what I've seen with the quality of the Canon G7x Mark ii. It doesn't come out as vibrant, but could also not have the correct settings yet. Overall, this camera has really elevated my life and my friends and I use it truly every time we go somewhere. Highly recommend for a first camera!

Great camera! In May of 2022 I'd made the mistake of buying a cheapie Kodak digital camera through Amazon, and the auto-focus never functioned properly on it. I still have a Canon AE-1 camera that I used for years until everybody stopped processing film, and this Canon SX740 HS takes sharp, high-quality photos; plus it's easy to use. Highly recommended!

This is a fun but weird piece of technology, one that has a very nebulous use case in my mind.
Having an automated photographer on first blush is a huge privacy and ethical issue, but if you get past the oddity of all that and want the novelty of a mostly automated camera that can pan/tilt/zoom in 360* and take pictures of literally anything in the room (and mostly keep up with important moments), it's interesting enough to warrant further exploration.
I have a really hard time thinking of ways to use this. While you COULD use it as a follow-cam for recording a class, it's probably best suited to recording discrete moments in time at an event. In theory you could use it for capturing party shots, automating a photobooth, or making sure everybody is all in the shot if you didn't have a timer and a smartphone.
The camera has a decent app interface (the zoom controls being the one exception to this- they're just slow and obnoxiously placed). The playback feature is easy enough and up to Canon app standards. There are a mountain of settings for customization, including the sounds and language used for the voice commands. The app also shows you highlights and particular faces (it groups recognized people together and you can name each person in the app).
When left to its own AI devices, the Pick does a decent job of taking pictures of folks it finds, especially if they're making eye contact. It also does record video at seemingly "interesting" moments (especially when folks are smiling). I had a hard time figuring out the voice commands, and it felt like it ignored me more often than it actually listened. It does a decent job of trying to find new faces when it feels it's got enough of someone in particular.
In terms of video: it's pretty good even in low-light conditions (there's noticable graininess away from light sources). It does record decent audio, but it's not a showstopper - I wish the audio were better overall.
In general: the Pick is quirky and fun, responsive to environmental changes, and if you were planning an event where folks know they're going to be photographed at any moment, and didn't want to pay for a photographer or be buried in your smartphone the whole day, this might do the trick.

I got this camera for use in the coming holidays. Thought it would be cool to have a "personal photographer" that can take snaps at the family gatherings. I tested this product at an indoor birthday party and place it centrally in the living room where people would be gathering most of the time. Out of the box, the setup was pretty easy. I was able to connect with my phone easily via bluetooth. You will need to have the app installed first before connecting. I had difficulty finding the app in the Apple app store so I resorted to using the QR code in the instructions to be able to find and install the app. But once installed, the set up was easy and the app is easy to navigate. I set the camera to take shots automatically. For about a 5 minutes duration, it only took about 2 photos which was disappointing and when I checked it was because the camera was disconnected and I had to reconnect. The disconnection was an annoying issue with this camera, plus the blurry photos it took. I have had Canon powershot cameras before and the photo quality produced by this tracking camera is nowhere near the "Canon" quality I am used to. This is a nice concept though and could be useful, but unfortunately it needs improvement. I'd definitely consider getting this again when things have improved. For now, I don't recommend this camera.

I am still learning what settings work best in different environments, but I have to say I love this so much. The image quality is amazing in both natural and fluorescent light. The flash works great. Video quality is very clear when outside, I have not recorded much inside but it seems blurry. I am not recording much so its not a problem for me. The app is supposed to help transfer the photos from the camera to the phone glitches most of the time so I use the little connector i got from amazon and just insert the memory card. This is a wonderful camera, really no complaints

I had to take back my Sony a6000 for overheating. I ended up getting this, had no idea it was a new camera. I got it more video but both video and photos are very good, and the best part this does 4k! I was not going to spend a lot of money for a 4k just yet, but when I picked it up at the store that is when I found out. If you looking for something under $500 this is the two go.
