Had an Apple Watch for years but the battery got swollen. Came to buy a new one only to realize $400 is a little wild for a watch. Had a g shock for years also, never failed me so I went got another. Plus its solar charged!

Its everything I expected. I love the solar power, atomic timekeeping and the water resistance! I shower with it on every day. Ships from Texas. If you want a good durable watch for a good price that ships from the US, this is it.

Classic G Shock and the solar works well. The watch isn’t overly bulky and has all the main features of a great athletic watch. I never take it off, wear in the pool and on the golf course. Has held up great.

This watch is great, has all the features I wanted. Solar charging works well went from mid to high in the first day in the florida sun and has been on high charge since. Button press sound muting is nice. 5 alarms including a snooze alarm that repeats every 5 minutes. I must be a pretty light sleeper as it hasn't failed to wake me up. Countdown timer is good for cooking and workouts. Atomic time setting works pretty well if it's a cloudy night I need to put it in a west facing window to sync but on clear days will sync from my nightstand. I like how the day of the week is displayed and the back light time can be changed from 1.5 to 3 seconds. Don't use automatic lighting very much it could light up while driving at night. 200m water resistance and recessed mineral crystal that doesn't scratch easily are also pros. Legendary g shock durability and with not having to change the battery should keep it's water resistance for a long time.

After trying a few watches including a classic style g shock dw5600, Which I liked but wanted one with easier to press buttons with a better layout, solar power, and atomic time syncing and key muting capability for around $80. This one fit the bill perfectly. Bestbuy was nice enough to price match Amazon which had it for a little less. Solar power works good, was on mid when I got it and left it in the sun for a few hours and has been on high ever since. Syncing works well if I put it in a West facing window here in florida it syncs up right at 12:04am. However, if I leave it on my nightstand it might sync up at 3 or 4am on a clear night or not at all on a cloudy night. So far very happy with it.

I’ve been using G-Shocks for casual outtings and work (construction) for several years now. This model hasn’t given me any problems. To this date, I still haven’t changed the battery. I would say it’s very durable. A great product that will last for years to come. Perfect gift for anyone and comfortable to wear as well. Cleaning is simple with soap and water with a soft toothbrush is what I use. I clean mine weekly to keep my watch looking new and at its best at all times.

Its a G shock. Need to tell the time on a dime? Most G shocks priced over $60 are tanks and youll get your moneys worth outa them. Only issue with this i had is its solar powered and i wear it military style/under wrist and it doesnt get much sunlight that way, except when im fishing.

Was a gift to my son. He loves it! The fact that he doesn’t have to worry about battery replacement was great. They are rugged and reliable to keep world time like our smart phones.

This is an affordable solar and atomic watch that is hard to beat. I purchased my first one several years ago and works perfectly. My nephew saw the watch and and really wanted one. The Best buy price was the lowest on line which made the buying decision easy.

THIS WATCHED REP;ACED A G-SHOCK THAT I HAD FOR MANY YEARS. IT IS EXTREMELY DURABLE. THE WATCH IS ESY TO USE BUT MY ONE COMPLAINT IS THAT THE WRIST STRAP IS TOO SHORT AND I HAVE TO USE THE LAST HOLE, WHICH IS SLIGHTLY TIGHT. I AM GOING TO CONTACT G-SHOCK AND SEE IF THEY HAVE A LONGER BAND.

Perfect for my son who is going into the Army in the spring.

I wanted an accurate work watch that I wasn't afraid to wear when doing my blue collar job. This one syncs with the atomic clock signal up to 6x per day and keeps very accurate time. The solar charging is another great feature, although it wasn't required when I was shopping. When I first removed it from the box it had a mid charge. I laid it on a window sill for close to two rainy and overcast days and it finally reached the high charge status. I wear it daily for my indoor job and it has remained in the high charge status. The display is easy to read in low light or bright sunlight conditions and the button for the light is easy to activate if I need more light. Overall, a nice and rugged watch that I hope will last me for many years to come.

This G-Shock was a great deal. It was a gift for a coworker and it came in quickly and is perfect. My coworker absolutely loves it!

This digital watch is great. I use it only for work and am constantly getting it banged around and not a single scratch on it! Love the automatic updates from the atomic clock in CO.

Likes: 1) The looks, all black finish. Light and comfortable. 2) Atomic time sync, never need to set watch again. Initially I had trouble manuallly sync the atomic clock the first time, read online that watch needs to face the western direction and bingo that works! 3) Solar power, mine arrived fully charge on high power - nice. 4) Strap is resin, surprise that it is very comfy. Was planning to switch to velco but decide to leave it as is for now. 5) Value - good price and has all atomic and solar function that I want. 6) Dual time display by pressing one button (upper-right), very handy. 7) Auto light, or manual light by pressing the G button, has a nice bluish glow. Dislikes: 1) Digits are smaller than my previouis Casio. Do wish the three circles are not there to take up the space since they are hard to read. 2) Slimmer profile would be great but I heard it is needed to accommodate the solar cells. Overall I really like the watch, price is right not too big compare to other G-Shock watch. Taking 1 star away due to the smaller digits and 3 not too functional gauges. But would certainly recommend and buy again.
