I needed a CenturyLink modem. My last one kept loosing connection and haven't had a problem with this one.

M last router went for six years . It was a product from the same company. I hope that this router will also go at least that long. It seems to have at least the same quality.

I initially wanted to get any modem but the one associated with CenturyLink; but other VDSL modems weren't working. If you have CenturyLink, you can't go wrong with this one.

Modem was easier to obtain and cheaper than what centurylink offered.

If you have to get CenturyLink DSL then you NEED to get this modem/router... Literally! I bought and returned 3 others before someone told me to get this one. It pretty much self installed once it was plugged in and has worked fine since then.

It took a few minutes and a call to century link to activate. but over all it works great.

This is the second one I have purchased through Best Buy. The only problem I ever had was in that I did not know that Century Link was only compatible with a few select models.

I thought the price was reasonable, and since it was the only one Best Buy offered compatible with CenturyLink I decided to purchase it. Had a number of features I was looking for. Setup tutorial (direct link to CenturyLink) was pretty slick and worked well. During advanced setup it experienced glitches, and at one point I had to do a "factory reset". Second try experienced similar glitches. I eventually returned the unit. Second model had similar problems and this time I went back for a refund. Bottom line: not worth $100 unless software glitches are patched.

It is really easy to setup. It comes with exact instructions with all needed parts. The instruction paper even has a spot for the owner to write down the password and other relevant data for the account. No problems with it so far, and it sure does beat having a used/refurbished one from the provider.

Bought to replace what I had. Very satisfied with this product.

Suggest this product be used for an Internet connection to CenturyLink. Customer service at CenturyLink were helpful with the connection because they knew the product.

I am not very tech savvy and that is the only reason I didn't give a 5 star review, as I can not really say if this modem/router is better than others. We just got internet at our house with Centurylink and bought this modem/router (since it would be cheaper than renting or buying through them, with no weird contracts) and it does the job just fine. Set up was very easy and simple to understand. The box that it came in came with all of the necessary cords and cables to get you started and set up, as well as easy to follow instructions for people like me who don't really know much about how these things works. We are overall satisfied.

My old modem was way out of date. This new centurylink modem works great. The signal comes in strong.

The product has worked good. No real increase over older version. Only option with Century Link.

We opted for the more costly modem and I am glad, it has worked wonderfully and has great range. we have a 2300 square foot home and we get internet in every corner!

Works well do what I need it to do. Still have occasional problems, but it may just be CentryLink

If you have Century Link and your old router dies you don't have a lot of choice but buy a new one.

Not a bad modem/router. At least I'm not renting one from Centurylink. Wired connection is great, wireless range isn't bad, but my previous router with the external antennas provided better coverage. Plenty of ethernet ports. One of only 2 modems Best Buy carries for Centurylink service.

Easy to install and much faster than my older one.
