I had to buy a new modem as I switched from Comcast to CenturyLink. I already had a router so didn't really need the modem/router combo. But it seems there isn't much available for just the modem. So I setup the modem and the on board router. The setup went pretty well. The process is a little clunky but if you follow the directions you shouldn't have a problem. The modem works great. I haven't had any issues with it. The built in router/wifi works okay as far as being able to connect a laptop or phone. However my audio receiver supports Apple Airplay for streaming from itunes or iphone to the receiver and I use this alot. The router didn't support Airplay so I ended up disabling the router function and using the Linksys router I already had. If you don't use Airplay then you should be fine with the built in router.

Best Buy had just what the technician at Quest told me I needed.

I bought this modem to replace my old one that was close to 10 years old that had failed. The new one was easy to set up and started working immediately. I have not had any issues with it whatsoever. So far I am very happy with it. I like the fact it has 4 LAN ports on it and I was able to eliminate my aging router and free up some clutter.

I am so glad I bought Century link at best buy it's going to save me a lot of money than renting it form the telephone company

I've had several of these which is both good and bad. Good because direct replacement eases installation. Bad because I've had to replace them at what I consider too often of intervals.

Wish the wifi range was better but easy to install and works good.

This router was an upgrade from a non-wireless router. Setup was simple and completely automated. Complete installation took only about 20 minutes, including setting up security protocol for the wireless network. Great value!

In DSL2 category one of price effective modem, we have only century link in our apartments to made sense to buy a cheaper DSL2 modem made by century link, so far haven't faced any issues and it is working as expected.

This product installed very easily. Directions were accurate and complete as to which cables went where. Download/Upload speeds seem to be faster than old modem/router combination. It does however, seem to run at a higher temperature. Make sure to allow clear airspace around this unit to help keep it from over-heating.

Better than paying never ending monthly fee (and no shipping charge) with Century Link. Works great and was very easy to set up. Glad that is was available to purchase this way. This was the only one that was available to use in our area.

I bouth this product to increase the wireless range in my home and now my netflix works on my smart TV on the second floor

Excellent product. I had recently purchased a netgear wireless router and was constantly having trouble connecting wirelessly to my devices. So I got rid of my wireless router and modem and bought this 2 in one. I had a little troble setting it up with the settings but I called Century Link (my internet provider) and they had it working in short order. I have had no trouble since. At least 4 weeks now and my wireless connection has never been better.

Our old modem died and CenturyLink listed Best Buy as on option for purchasing a new one. This unit has the best step by step installation instructions!! Clear illustrations makes this very easy to set up. The unit works great and internet is even faster now!
