This is the second one I've purchased from Best Buy. It is cheaper to buy CenturyLink's recommended router from Best Buy than to rent it from CenturyLink over time. It is the easiest to setup and works like a charm consistently.

Old modem from 2007 finally stopped working so did reviews and called centurylink and this is the product they support. Didn't really want modem, wifi combo but most are like that now. This was fairly easy to set up and does its job.

Been renting my modem/router from CenturyLink for over 4 years, got so tired of paying $10.00 a month! Best Buy had just what I needed, shipped it quickly, it installed smoothly. Just what I needed at a great price! Thanks Best Buy!!

Enjoy being able to read at night without having to put the light on.

Handles multiple wifi capable electronic products at the same time.

It works as stated. The only thing we have noticed is that it gets really warm sometimes and needs to be shut down for awhile.

Since I don't have a lot of options - none other than Century Link - I am pleased with this router. Not a real techie person so it works well for what I do.

This router runs much better then the one that was being leased to us by centurylink. The price is well worth just buying it verse leasing from centurylink.

It's pretty fast and doesn't seem to cut out wifi. All in all it's an ok router the only thing is that it was $100.

Specifications met or exceeded what DSL company recommend and was quite easy to configure. Works with my Apple wireless router like a charm!!

Took about 10 minutes total to unpack, set up and get connected!

Installation was quick and easy, modem worked as advertised. The router Wireless keeps dropping connection, very annoying. This is common problem with this unit, as per blogs that other have posted. The posting requirements buy separate router and use only the modem.

Wireless signal saturation is better than my old Netgear router.

It works great and cheaper than buying it through Century Link

I like the fact that it includes a router with the modem. It was the only model recommended by our internet provider, so we went with it. It delivers great speed and we haven't had any problems with it. I also like its slim design.

great product and easy to setup and use. I use it so that I can get internet and able to play online and offline games and watch movies and videos on games,sell on amazon too.

The CenturyLink C1000A has a greater wireless range than the previous model. It does not get "hot" because the vents built into the body help release hot air. Certainly less expensive than renting from the phone company. Overall it is great for a home office. I use it to monitor my solar installation, Download from my TV using TIVO, and connect another computer and printer.
