I'm not a techy, so the simplicity of the wireless system was important to me. And now I can use my desktop upstair, my laptop downstairs and the printer with both.

It does as it advertises. Haven't had any issues with it. The only negative thing I have to say, is that the USB port on the back isn't activated, so the port is useless (which was one of the deciding factors in my upgrading to this modem).

My old modem went down. This modem not only replaced that modem, It also replaced my router as well. So far I haven't had any other problems and between my son and I, we definitely test the bandwith at times.

I didn't want to pay the monthly rental fees to century link for a router and this router was my only option at the time that meet all the century link requirements. I don't know much about this type of product but so far it's been good and it was easy to install myself.

Decided to purchase a modem instead of renting. Originally I wanted to purchase a nice one with extended range and broadband but this was the only one compatible with CenturyLink. I live in a relatively small house, about 1200 square feet. The wireless signal pretty pathetic even with the modem centrally placed in the house. May consider purchasing a separate wireless router.

I've had the modem about 3 months and no problems so far. I think these these things must have a timer built in for going bad when the warranty goes out from century link, so I purchased the extended and wrote the purchase date on the bottom so I know when it will be time to buy the next one:)

This item was purchased to diagnose and qualify an existing dsl line from CL. Item worked fine. Line failed and required a change of vendor.

Bought these for every line in the house because I was told by my intenet carrier I needed them. turns out it was their faultnot mine and didn't need them, but keep them on the phone lines anyhow. I am assuming they help to filter out any noise that might interfere with my connection.

In a limited field of DSL modem/routers to choose from, this is a good choice since it is designed for use with Century Link's DSL service.

We bought this modem since our provider is Century Link. It was relatively easy to set up and we get great, reliable internet.

I bought from Best Buy instead of Century Link because they didn't have any in stock; the only negative I can say about that is if anything goes wrong with it I'm on my own.

What I know about today's technology, would fit comfortably in a mini-thimble, but so far (it's only been here about a month) it works well and is quick in downloading.

Yea, they may offer you high speed internet at a better rate... And they can show its faster.. This VDSL2 box is garbage. No joke. I have problems loading pages on my wifi. It ruins my bluetooth signal... I had to turn the wifi off this in order to have my controllers work for my xbox one...... They need a better box honestly.

We were trying to upgrade our router due to poor connection in living room (router has to be in master bedroom) in 3200 ft house. Since we are with Century link, this was our only option for a combo unit, and less expensive than buying modem and router separately. But even with this "updated" system, we still have poor wifi in other parts of house and things like xbox updates take forever.

I like that best buy carries modems for different internet companies. It allows customers to purchase products at better prices versus purchasing directly from the companies. I like the modem it gives a strong connection.

Not the greatest bandwidth, but century link compatible and reasonable price. Get the nighthawk instead if you dont mind spending extra $150.

This modem/router is required by CenturyLink to acquire their DSL service. Rather than renting it from CenturyLink I chose to buy it. It seems to work fine.
