    I bought one for myself Decided to buy one for my dad. He lives in the city with a detached garage. Now he can check from his phone if it's open or closed. If he forgets to close it or something blocks the sensor, he can see It as well. Love it, plus it connects to some security systems. My sister has it connected to hers

    Look at the Ryobi brand instead. These people keeps trying to justify their reason for charging a fee off you for integrating with Google Assistant/IFTTT. Read their forum comments, it's just sad.

    In stalls in minutes, I called tech support they were very patient with me, it turned out to be my cell phone. I get notifications within a minute of the door opening.

    The setup was more difficult than originally thought. After so many tries, I figured out the hub has to be positioned in certain way for it to communicated with my Genie opener. Strange but it can happen with radio waves. Works quite well afterward.

    After one month of use I have been able to accurately monitor the status of a garage door at a remote location. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is the somewhat limited information about all of the functions available in the box and on the home site.

    The MyQ works as advertised. I bought it for those instances when I or my wife aren't sure if we closed the door or not. Instead of deiving back home, we just open up the app. Would be five stars if the iOS app were faster with a more up to date UI
