The sense of relief of receiving a notification that my garage door has been closed is amazing. Best Buy installed this in a matter of 15 minutes. I strongly recommend it.

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased for the convince of being able to open or close my garage door when in the yard and I don’t have keys to get into my vehicle, or in the garage and don’t want to run to the other side to open the door. Just make sure you have adequate Wi-Fi strength in your garage to operate. I had the Wi-Fi strength indicated in the manual but I ended up needing a Wi-Fi boost to operate reliably. I also don’t care for the strobing light when using the app to close the door. Maybe there is a way to turn this off but it isn’t listed in the manual. I would prefer the hub acted like the garage door motor and was a secondary light that stayed on for a short time. Still relatively new so time will tell, but for $20-ish it was worth a shot.

This one responds much faster and it integrated with my home alarm system. I gave it 4 stars because it doesn't have an automatic timed close function like my other one did.

A very complicated failure.

The myQ information said it would work by adding an app to the screen in my car. I installed the hardware and, after an afternoon of making accounts, pairing it with the WiFi and then pairing it with the garage door opener, the garage door works with my iPhone. But after all the work it turns out that Chamberlain no longer lets you put the app on my cars electronic screen. Can’t do it anymore. Looked at numerous YouTube videos complaining about the same problem. So it doesn’t work at all for my use.

I installed this one and it works perfect. Never had any issues with connection or it not working

You no longer need a thick remote control. If you have an Apple Watch, you can open and close the garage door with it. And you can check the history on the mobile app and get alerts right away.

Pairs with tons of garage door openers and Alexa/Ring/Google so you can control with voice commands if needed. No more wondering if you closed the garage, now you know.

In the 15 years i have lived here , I have came back home to see if i forgot to close the door many times. Now I just click on the app. to see if its open or closed.
