My neighbor recommended this as it worked for him and he has the same garage mechanics as me. So when it works, it's' great. It just didn't work for me.

Do not like that that it cost 1.33 times of the price to purchase the door sensor. The package cost $ 29.99 for controller plus sensor and it cost $39.99 for just the door sensor.

I had trouble because the plastic piece that needs to be removed from the battery did not get removed fully so the unit wasn't functioning at first but it was resolved using the troubleshooting guide. The app is very hit or miss. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't and then I'm not able to close my garage door which is a problem. Reinstalling the app seems to correct this but is quite an annoyance.

The myQ app isn't even available on the list of supported apps in the Google Home app. You cannot open your garage door with your voice with this product.
