Bad experience

We were ill, neighbor did a welfare check and told me my garage door had been open over 24 hours. Next day she was back and sure enough my garage door had opened on its own. Third day, garage was open again. In the afternoon I heard my garage opening again, ran and put it down and quickly unplugged the device.

Posted .Hello Susie, we are very sorry to hear about the unintended operation from your garage door opener. This issue can mean that your garage door opener is on the wrong frequency and someone in your area is activating your garage door opener without them knowing, for safety precautions we suggest erasing the memory from your learn button located on your garage door opener, and re program all your devices back to it. Next, we can suggest disconnecting the wall control panel you have mounted inside of your garage as that could be defective, or the wires connected to it could be shorted or cut and leave them disconnected for a couple days. If your garage door opener no longer opens on its own your issue is resolved, if it still opens on its own the issue is with the mother board.

Pairing issue

It was unable to pair with my Genie garage door opener which is less than a few years old. The door sensor is already on my garage so all it does is tell me if my garage is open or closed. My suggestion if you buy would be to not mount the sensor until it’s paired so you can return it if it doesn’t work.

Not worth it any more...

Last year MyQ failed to update their integrations with google and now it doesn't integrate at all. So, unless you want yet another app to open and close your garage door it's not at all worth it.

No smarthome connectivity

Be warned not for smart home use.

Great idea but the app is so slooooooow

However it can take a while to load, sometimes up to a minute. Great product for a horror movie. Zoombies would eat you alive before you can find shelter in your garage… watch out

DOES NOT WORK with Google Assistant!

Garbage. Have to reset daily
