enable control of garage door through smart phones or tablets. However, control is disabled if the servers in Chamberlain are down. It happened once in the past 9 months.

This works as advertised. Your general network setup matters, which most complaints come from. I ended up getting a Genie Aladdin because it has Alexa integration out of the box (with no fees like the Chamberlain). The Chamberlain does have HomeKit, which the Genie doesn’t, if that happens to be your preferred integration.

It's a good system, but its lack of integration with Alexa is definitely a significant shortcoming.

The days of trying to tecall whether I left the garage door open are gone! It's so convenient to just check the app. Technology at its best.

It’s a gift for my parents. They are in sixties and are not computer savvy I hope they like it. It seemed simple to use I guess I’ll find out in new year

Buyer Beware - please read the whole review Installs easily and works somewhat. You can monitor the door / open / close via app on your phone. I use the Android app, and it runs slow on a high end phone. There is no widget for the homescreen, so you have to launch the app each time you want to open or close. At that point its easier to use the old clicker. I bought this for the Google Assistant integration and planned on using IFTTT for some automated protocols when I arrive at home. Unfortunately, you have to buy an additional subscription to enable this feature. This is not mentioned in the product description or on the box. There is no technical need for this paywall, and chamberlain should be ashamed of themselves for promoting the assistant functionality while hiding the fact you have to subscribe to an additional service to enable it. Had I known that, I would've bought a different solution or created one.

Really good device but you have to ask Google assistant to to ask myG to open garage door but only after a brief message.

Wish I had known ahead of time. Still deciding if I need HomeKit.

Works fine, just hard to setup with assistant. Only returned as it was cheaper a few weeks later and price match was not available during black friday week.

Very disappointed. I figured I would spend the money and get a high quality product for controlling my garage door. Instead, i got a product with a subscription fee for subpar smart home integration. I was even thinking about sending the money on the subscription fee. Then I realized they still used the old google assistant integration and not the new goog home app. There are cheaper options for controlling your garage door with better smart home integration. Nothing on the box says anything about a subscription fee. I completely installed the system before finding out about the poor Google home integration.

Easy setup. My opener is a few years old and the sync button had discolored....customer service was great and got me up and running in no time!

You can control the garage door from anywhere anytime. The best part is it’s compatible with any garage door.

Great product!! However installation can be tricky as it requires ceiling mount.

Gave it four stars cuz it was a bit challenging to get it to connect after install.

We don’t need remote hanging on sunshine panel, and family members who have permitted to operate garage door.

Connected flawlessly with my 12 year old Overhead Door brand openers. I now have remote visibility of door status and control through the app. Excellent product.
