We loved the garage door opener it just wouldn’t work with out garage cause of wifi distance and we need to fix our garage as well.

I like the ability to see if my garage door has been closed after I’ve left the house, and if. Not close it remotely without having to drive back home.

I just purchased and installed this today. Works great with app however after purchasing the subscription for google home i found out that you are unable to open or close garage using Google , you can only find status if open or close . Also other users are unable to administer the garage door (they can open and close it via the app) only the main account holder

The install instructions were great and broadly speaking it worked quite out well.

The unit worked well and easy to install. I highly suggest you screw the door transmitter into place. The double backed tape fail for me.

I purchased this product to control our garage door in a remote location. I could not make it work. After multiple calls and hours on the phone with Chamberlain Tech Support, I was told that this is not the right product for my application. The problem arises from the need for 2 successful wireless connections to enable this device to work properly. It requires one wireless connection between the “My Q Hub” and the WiFi Router and another wireless connection between the “My Q Hub” and a sensor attached to the garage door. This “hub” and this “sensor” are the 2 parts of the product being reviewed here. The Chamberlian Tech Support Supervisor (I went through about 6 “Level One” tech advisors) told me that instead I needed a “My Q Retrofit Package” that includes 2 other Chamberlain devices (their part numbers are 888LM and 828LM). One device is a “Gateway” that connects directly by Ethernet cable to the a LAN port on the Router and communicates wirelessly with the other device, a new control panel that replaces the existing garage door control panel / button on the wall. This replacement panel connects directly by a pair of wires to the overhead garage door opener and therefore knows what position the door is in (open or closed), thus eliminating the need for a sensor attached to the garage door. Bottom Line - Avoid this product if you can and opt instead for the “My Q Retrofit Package”. Hope this information helps you! Good luck!

So many times I got to work and thought “Did I close the garage door?” Now those worries are gone! I can open and close my door from anywhere, anytime!
