We would program The remotes and it would take away from the app. We would reprogram the app and it would take it away from the remotes. We ended up just calling a local company and purchasing a new garage door opener with the My Q app that came with it.

They turned on and went through most of the motions but refused to connect to the wifi. They needed 2.4Ghz but even with that I got nothing. I ended up ordering the newer version (white) and they work like a charm.

Like the Saying Goes, You Pay for What You Get

I constantly get error messages though and have to get out of my car to go close the garage anyways. What’s the point of using this if I still need to walk to the garage to either open or close the garage? Is it worth buying? Not really.

Many reviews show some problems with WiFi, both in the initial setup or afterwards. Mine showed up afterwards, the next day. Initial setup went through without any problem at all. Everything worked, and worked exactly as I would want. Problem came up the next day when my router lost internet connection and had to be rebooted. Now I have over 60 devices attached already, and all of those came back up with no issues, but the MyQ would not connect. After many attempts to reboot the router, reboot the modem, disconnect and reconnect the MyQ, remove the MyQ from the App, etc., even resetting the MyQ to factory defaults, it would not reconnect. I returned the product to BestBuy and will look for other solutions.

I had to run through the steps three times with my Overhead Door opener. Worked on the third time. This is a pretty good smart device for the price. I don't think this works with Google Home using the "Hey Google" feature which it should.
