Simple to install and it works with XFINITY Home Security system. This is my 2nd purchase of MyQ.

Purchased and easily installed. However, warning strobe did not function. Called customer support and was told to return due to defective unit. Put new unit in, and same problem. Have written customer service 3 times and have had no response.

Not sure if it is the actual hardware or the app, but I can't rely on this to work. Sometimes it works great for a few times then it just doesn't. The app shows that the door is operating but the door is not moving. So for me this is just a gimmick. Can't count on it.

Sensor issue telling me the door is open when it’s closed, stressed until I got home. Tried to close it remotely & if reported an issue, wound up having to go through the install steps all over again. The positive - the auto close worked - the install instructions are great

I got the MyQ Smart Hub to meet two issues that we seem to always have at my house. First, did we close the garage door when we left and are twenty miles down the road and, secondly, where the heck is the garage door opener?? This amazing device answers both of these questions like a champ! It arrived in a fairly small box that made me wonder at first about it's capabilities. I opened it and found all I needed to get started right away. I took the time (this time) to read the instructions before starting and they seemed pretty straightforward. The only major hiccup that I didn't see coming was my garage door opener is not a newer one (about 10 years old) so I was worried about the ability for it to sync with the MyQ. After testing that I did indeed have Wi-Fi in my garage, I downloaded the Chamberlain MyQ app on my phone and began the setup process. I had to find my ladder in order to push the security button on the garage door opener and screw the mount into the ceiling for the main MyQ module, but that was the extent of the hard part. The MyQ app found the module right away and amazingly also operated my garage door! I put the sensor module on the garage door with the supplied double-sided tape and I was in business! Now, with the app, I can check the status of the garage door anywhere and can open/close the door with the app. You can set up alerts and schedule openings/closings of the door (if you need that). I set it up so that if I open the door and forget to close it, it closes itself after a predetermined amount of time. So, is it a good product? I would say that it has met and exceeded my expectations! If you have an older model garage door opener (a lot of the newest ones have this type of ability built in) this is a must buy.
