Chamberlain Garage Hub is my second smart home device (the first being Ring Pro doorbell). Hence, I will try to relate my experience of this garage hub to that of the doorbell. My typical usage for this is to let people in when I am not at the house. E.g. cleaning crew, pest control staff. The visitor(s) press the RING bell; I talk to them, see them/their ID over phone and then open the garage so that they can get in and do their job. Pros - Easy to install, simple to use Cons - Challenging to configure, especially considering how easy it was to configure Ring doorbell. Instructions are a little tricky and took about 45 minutes to configure it.

This wireless garage opener kit is awesome! Works like a charm! Great notification without any subscriptions needed! Bestbuy has the best product with the best prices around! It is my go to store for electronics!

Easy setup. Took 30 minutes to get system linked up with my internet. The app walks you right through the whole process. Loved the price. Now I can control my garage door from anywhere.

Easy installation. I own this and purchased one for my sister and my mother because of how great and convenient it is. You can even share access to your garage to friends and family. Great product.

To be honest, I didn't need this. I bought it on sale on impulse. But it is nice to have the ability to see if I left my garage door open. It's really easy to install and it's compatible with lots of brands of openers. Once you install the app it walks you through the installation and it even includes videos to demonstrate. If you are even just a little bit handy, you can do this. The only tools you need are a drill and a screwdriver. I bought two so that I could throw one in the family "dice game" gift exchange that we do each Christmas. Whoever wins it just needs to have WiFi that reaches their garage. That's really the only hitch with this thing. Everything else is really straightforward.

Works great - bit tricky to make sure you get everything right. I was able to install, mount with absolutely no issues. Linked to IFTTT, then linked to Alexa, Ring, Amazon Key, and everything's working great. There are some tricky bits- like once linked to IFTTT and Alexa, you can only CLOSE the door or see it's status. No opening. But once you link with Amazon Key, they can open it, and if linked with Ring (or whatever) it will turn on the camera and record when the Amazon guy comes to deliver to your garage. Also if you want to just say "Alexa close my garage door" vs "Alexa trigger close my garage door" (which is a thing with all IFTTT integrations, and is dumb). you just need to setup a quick Alexa "Routine" to map the two phrases so you don't have to say the word "trigger" in the phrase. Which would indeed make me triggered if I had to do that every time. Also IFTTT is STILL FREE for up to 3 applets. If you have a ton of necessary IFTTT applets then you might need their paid plan. I have no idea why Chamberlain has not integrated with other smarthome products yet, they seem to be lacking any resources for development. That being said, this smart hub was exactly what I needed. Being able to open the door with my phone and close it with phone or Alexa is perfect. My wi-fi signal wasn't great in the garage but once I mounted it up on the ceiling near the rafters it was perfectly fine picking up the signal. There are bad reviews but as usual, it seems those were mostly people who made a bunch of false claims based on random assumptions and didn't know what they were doing, and people who struggle with technology, in general. If thats not you, you'll be fine and I highly recommend this. As with other smarthome stuff (currently) you'll need the patience to get it all working as desired. Took away a star for the fact you can't just easily add direct integration with alexa or google assistant as its not that hard. I would guess that its a older traditional company that hired devs all on contract as a "one and done" project then they had no one to fix bugs or develop new features/integrations

Easy install and you can link it to your Amazon account. Then Amazon deliveries can be put into garage. Notifies you when garage is open and closes. Got it for 20 bucks. Great value

very easy to setup and install. no problems at all. i can see my garage if it's open or close away from home. it even tells me how long it's been open or close. recommended.

Installation and usage are very easy and diy. Makes it very easy to now be able to control garage if need to open for visitors or shut down without actually going over to garage. Great price.

Bought on sale, did not work with my Marantec opener out of the box. Picked up a Linear MDU-R which I wired inline with my existing wall switches and it worked. While the functionality of a smart door is great, this doesn't work with any of the smart home assistants. I can't use this with Alexa, Siri or Google Home. You have to control this via the App, with biometrics enabled, it's not too bad, but you do have to login each and every time to use it.

I read a review of this from a newsletter I get. My outside keypad had stopped working with my garage door so I purchased and installed this. I love this thing, my niece comes by to drop off her son and now she doesn't have to get out of her car to open the garage to drop him off. If my neighbor needs to borrow a tool, which happens often, I can now open the garage for him while I'm out on the road. The best is my wife has a history of not closing the garage when she leaves, and this allows me to check the status no matter where I am.

Not really fair for me to deduct a star, as my condo set-up has my garage quiet a ways from my main WiFi, and this can cause some delays and/or have the garage opener not work. When I have been able to get reliably connected to my WiFi, it works wonderful and very happy with it!

Pretty easy setup but only works with HomeKit an Apple smart home. Also need to buy an Apple home hub and another device from Chamberlain that costs $90 +. I was lucky to already own an Apple TV so I could use it as a Hub. Unfortunately if you’re not that lucky, it could get pretty pricey. Without the additional Chamberlain device and the Apple hub, all you have is an app on the phone. You may as well continue to use your garage clicker.

A lot of new garage door openers come with this feature. But they cost over $300. I added this for just a few bucks and it is easy to install and great for security!!
