Absolutely the biggest scam product ever made, does it work yes. But beware the monthly subscription fees to use things like google assistant or the $70 add on for HomeKit. Does it work yes was the install easy yes, do I need to pay subscriptions to use it! NO absolutely do no buy this!

I am glad I decided to try out the MyQ Smart Garage Hub by Chamberlain. It works flawlessly thus far, although setup took longer than expected.  The packaging is decent, but the instructions are scant. For instance, nowhere in the printed instructions does it tell you to use wifi on your phone or tablet to connect to the MyQ Hub. It just says to follow the instructions in the app. Unfortunately, the app also lacks helpful instructions, and I resorted to just poking around in the app to try to figure it out. For the record, I was using an Android phone running Oreo. Speaking of the app, you have to download the MyQ app in order to use the MyQ Hub. Operation can be as simple as just opening and closing the door, or you can set up schedules. You can also tailor how (or if) you receive any alerts about the garage door being open or closed, or both.  Despite a frustrating start with getting setup, once it is up and running, it works great with my Chamberlain garage door opener. One note, the instructions show that you should mount the Hub on the garage ceiling. That is not necessary. I put in a secure shelf high along the wall, since my garage ceiling is 12 feet high. I felt like it would actually have a better line of sight connection with the sensor that way, and it has worked perfectly.  Once you are up and running, the app takes a little exploration to know how to do things, but it's not too bad to figure out - a lot easier than initial setup!   I like that I can check my garage remotely and close it when I'm away if someone happened to leave it open accidentally. The MyQ provides cheap peace of mind, and for that, I am appreciative.

It says works with Google Assistant but it really doesn’t. Limited functionality exists. Google Assistant: Close the Garage Check the open/close status You cannot open the garage door due to “security reasons” which with other manufacturers it just requires a pin code. It does not say this anywhere on the packaging or website. False advertising at its finest and not to mention the connectivity is very slow.

So far I am very disappointed with this product. We have had many problems with it not working so I still have to carry my garage door opener with me, which totally defeats the purpose of this product. Do not buy!

Most attached garages have a steel man door into the house as well as fire retardant materials. Because of this, the WiFi connection may suffer and make this product difficult to use.

Bought it based on their documentation that this will work for genie model garage opener. Tried for a week to set it up but no luck. Eventually has to return the product.

It does work to control my garage door and notify me of opening/closing. Does not integrate with other smart home products without paying more. It hampers what would be a great product.

I have any older garage door opener and this did not work for me. This requires a newer openers and unfortunately i could not find information describing how it worked before I purchased it. Fortunately Best Buy took it back and I purchased a Meross WiFi Garage door opener that is compatible with my older openers.

i would give this product 0 stars if possible. it works, but the biggest issue is that it opens my garage doors randomly for no reason at all. i liked it at first due to the ease of installation and use, however, the random opening is a huge security risk for my family. too bad i’m outside my return window, otherwise i’d return it in a heartbeat.

Never asked and never was told... Now I have for 1 side not yet installed. More than I bargained for as I thought it would be simple. Now it sits and waits for me to stop being lazy.

This is my 2nd garage hub from Chamberlain. My first one lasted around 3 years. Hopefully this one will last longer. The app needs work.

This item was awesome at first, but I haven’t been able to get it to work for sometime now :-(. It is upsetting & wish I could get it fixed....

Doesn't always know the door is up or down. Seems to sometimes take too long to communicate with the device (i have fiberoptic internet)

Product works great however it took a little bit to figure out how to install. Especially when there were no directions in the box.

Bought these for my Kids who seem to have trouble shutting their garage doors. They have had some trouble with them working properly.

Was super excited about this product however the set up was difficult. Couldn’t complete set up as WiFi extended could g cause signal to reach the garage

Purchased this, set it up and installed it. Only to find out that you can’t actually set up another user. It shows you can add people, it sends them an email, but when they enter the serial number, it tells them it is already in use by another user. No kidding! And after paying $10 for an annual subscription to link with Google Home, I find out it will not open the garage door, it will only close it and tell you if the door is open or closed. Save your money and find something else.

It is a nice feature to add. I wish it worked more seamlessly. Randomly disconnects from wifi, but for the most part works without issues.

We had trouble with this but maybe we just didn't the right thing we have family that have one and love it

Title says all. It does work, but too many false alarms, for no apparent reason. In addition, it only works with one more sensor. I have 3 doors in a row.
