Takes a lot of time to connect to Garage door

It connected to wifi quickly but it took way too many attempts to connect to the actual garage door and the app showed the garage door as closed when the door was open. The app interface is not so great, it has a lot of scope for improvement.

Not even supported by authorized Chamberlain deale

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.MyQ locks out the user after 2 failed attempts to close door. if you are away from your door someone must physically close the door to reset the app. you are exposed with an open Garage door till it can be resolved. cannot verify which wifi is being used. In multiple wifi settings user must install test then uninstall /re install test to see which connection might be optimal. software cannot tell you which WIFI you are connected to worse, calling to local Chamberlain dealers (Chicago area) both said they do not support the MyQ. also was disconnected twice during wifi chat with the support at chamberlain Buyer beware.

One Star, Because Zero Wasn't an Option
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Returned after a few days because: - it only actually worked on rare occasion with a wifi signal that was plenty strong enough. - the app doesn't have any concept of guest modes or even the ability to share control with every family member short of sharing one username and password and that causes every other family member to be logged out. - there's an annual fee to use it with Google Home.

Flakey Monitoring

The unit will often miss the door opening to closing. That's why I purchased this unit, it needs to be 99.9 accurate. You may want to think twice before getting this.

Don’t waste your time

I was really hoping that this would work as advertised. I have really good internet signal but it still does not work consistently. Connects maybe 40% of the time.

Won't pair with Overhead Door opener, weak WiFi

Also, unit showed weak WiFi connection when my phone showed 4 bars. Great concept, but the hub is too limited for my use.

Not Very Reliable

Not worth it

Chamberline my Q

I ran fine for several weeks them nothing. Other duties have prevented me from getting really getting in to it. The few time I tried to restore the system after about one hour of getting no- wear I had to stop and attend other matters. If the issue cannot be resolve in a short hour, it may be best to scrap the stuff. Not having the packaging makes it difficult to return. To be fair I will assume that is a defective unit and write is as my loss.

Good idea - needs improvement
