I already have a keypad for my garage door so I didn't really NEED this device but I thought I'd give it a try when it went on sale for $30.
It works well. I can open and close the door remotely with the app. I can schedule the door to close at a certain time. I can set alerts to know when it opens or closed or gets stuck in the process.
Overall it works well. One note on the installation process...it says to mount the unit 4-6 feet from the opener and it shows two squares to either side of the opener. I tried mounting the unit behind the opener and it would not work so I did have to move it to the side. So make sure you have room to mount it 4-6 feet on either side of the opener.

Easy to install and works great with my Xfinity Home. I have old garage door opener, wall unit, & keypad that all work great with the phone app. We can see whether or not the garage is open & can close it from anywhere in the world. It works with our Liftmaster opener & iPhone. The iPhone needed separate instructions with a little more work but installed in about 30 minutes with a drill and screwdriver. Highly recommend.

Very easy to install. I did so in less than an hour over a weekend.
Works perfectly. The following feedback is probably more for Chamberlain (not BestBuy). Having issues trying to connect it to my Google Home device. I would not recommend paying for the subscription service that Chamberlain offers to link Google Assistant to this device.

I've been wait for something like this i always drive back to my house to make sure my garage door is closed i know it's just a mind thing. Having this has put me a ease to know that i will get an alert if the door remains open. So if it is open all you do is open the app up and close door that easy. The set on this took a little bit of time. Just follow the instructions on the app it will walk step by step. Now when working with the app from the phone when you close the door a light starts to flash and a beeping noise stats going off for safety.
Make sure your openers are are made after 1993. this is a very good product i have enjoyed having it's worth knowing your doors are closed.
Works well with my goolge nest.

This device was very easy to install and setup.
The installation documentation shows an electrical outlet on the ceiling but I do not have a way to attach the hub there. I just plugged it into an outlet on the wall and it works just fine.
I really needed a way to tell if I forgot my garage open, and close it remotely. Upon using it the first time I was surprised to see the strobe light and hear the audible tone when the door was closing which is a surprisingly nice touch.
The only tool I used was a small ladder to reach my Liftmaster garage door motor to push the button to add the hub like you do when you get a new garage door remote.

I love this. It tells me if me garage is up, it puts itself down at a certain time to avoid theft. I can close my garage from anywhere. This is the best thing ever. Also it was easy to set up.

I originally bought this years ago for over $100. Only one person would access it because you couldn't give access to other accounts. It broke, and I didn't want to buy a new one because of how expensive it was + how little use I got out of it.
Now, a couple years later, the MyQ is $30 and you can share garage door access with other people using different accounts. A really big improvement! Totally worth it. That said, I had to use my iPad to set it up; the Android app works fine for opening and closing the garage door, but it would not set up.

I purchased the Chamberlain MyQ to serve as a third garage door opener. I had three cars and two garage door openers so we were rotating two openers between three cars, and was always in the car that didn’t have the garage door opener in it. The MyQ was easy to install and pair with app. I opened my garage door from a mile away. The app that is loaded on you phones and alerts you when the door is opened or closed, and tells you how long it has been opened or closed. It alerts you before it closes. I would recommend MyQ to friends and readers. Buy and enjoy,

Works as advertised. Very effective. Took a while to set-up because directions were just a little misleading, but once I figured out that part of the process is to set up using the app, vice your Mac, everything went smooth. Wish it had a feature to automatically close the garage door after so many minutes - maybe it does, but haven't seen or figured it out yet! Still a great product!

The MyQ Smart Hub was fairly easy to set up and works great. Download the MyQ app onto a phone and open/close the door from anywhere as long as there is an internet connection. You don’t need to be connected to your home wi-if or in Bluetooth range. We added (about $50) the MyQ Home Bridge so we can use Siri. Saves having to get the phone out to use the app. I had trouble getting the Bridge connected to the Hub and our wi-fi. After a number of attempts I ended up calling tech support. Christy and Galen were both great. Galen walked me through resetting and connecting the devices. It involves setting the devices up in the MyQ app and the Home app (IPhone). She also emailed instructions in case I ever need to reconnect. My rating for MyQ tech support is 5 star also.
Overall this is a good system. Well worth the investment.

Love this smart garage hub. Setup was a breeze and I'm really enjoying the corresponding app for my phone. Can remotely open and close the garage from anywhere and have set up notifications to know when the door is opened or closed.

The main reason I bought this product was so that I could check my garage door status away from home, because I am the kind of person that needs to come back after driving away just to double check I actually closed it. For that purpose, it works perfect. I am able to check the status, and open and close all from the app, whether I'm in the house or halfway across the world. That really is worth the price I paid alone. However, after thinking about the whole promise of the smart home, and opening and closing using my Google Assistant, I began to get really excited about setting all that up. However, you cannot currently use Google Assistant to open the door. It says for "Security Reasons". I get it, but after being so excited about getting this thing set up, this literally became half the reason I wanted to get this thing. If they ever get around to adding this functionality in, I will gladly bump my review up to 5 stars, but until then, it really brings it down.
Now, on to setup. Setup was actually really simple, and even if you aren't very handy, you should be able to get this thing setup and installed in 30 minutes or less. It really just involves mounting the sensor to your garage door, which is simply peeling back sticky tape and sticking it right up there. Then mounting the opener unit to the ceiling, using the included anchors and screws, which is not a very difficult task at all. Then you download and open the app on your phone and it just walks you through everything else. Really simple.
This would really be the perfect smart garage door opener if they just added in the ability to open the door using Google Assistant. Hopefully they do one day, but talking to their support, they can't give any details other than "we are aware of the issue and are working on it."

Setup was quite easy, and only took me about 15-20 minutes, including reading directions and installation.
I have some young kids, so they don't always remember to close the garage door when the come back inside. Also, I can use this to know if they snuck out the garage to avoid me seeing them go through the front door.
I think it is great, and gives me some peace of mind, knowing my garage door is open/closed. I have a camera in my garage, but if I saw the door open, and I was not home, I couldn't do a thing. Getting this MyQ Smart Garage Hub by Chamberlain, allowed me to not only close or open the door, but also see a log of when it happened.

Pleased but Nervous

Moderate number of stars since I encountered an issue only half an hour after installation.
Existing opener: Five-year-old Craftsman ½ hp (double wide door)
Mobile: Android 8.0 (Oreo) on Samsung S8+
Router: Netgear Orbi
Signal strength at base: -50 DBm @2.4GHz (quite adequate)
Installation: Read and followed the instructions on the sequence of installation elements. This sequence is different from two of the YouTube installation videos, which are different from each other. The instructions are light on details so viewing the videos will help with some things that may not be intuitive. I made sure I only pushed the learn button on the actual opener long enough for the led to come on. Holding it down could wipe out auto and hand-held remotes if they are in the vicinity.
Everything connected fine. Tests worked fine. Playing with it gave good, precise results with minimal delay. I was pleased.
Issue: While cycling it for confidence (and admittedly enjoying the sense of remote power over the mechanism) it obediently closed the door, but the app kept closing and closing, and finally told me the door closing failed, there was an error: Try again. But the door had closed, the light and warning had turned off. So, after many additional attempts the app gave up on tries and told me to manually reset the door. I did, but the app was hung up on the error. Nothing would get the app working again. Even reloading the app did not rid me of the false read and allow me to open or close. So, I downloaded the Liftmaster MyQ as a secondary app and signed in with my Chamberlain account (the only difference in apps is the color) and it showed the door in the correct position, and I began to successfully operate the door. The Chamberlain app subsequently recognized where the door was and cleared the error. Bizarre.
If I was not standing in the garage, if I was hundreds of miles away, this would be a traumatizing failure of the system, letting one believe that the door did not close (all the while telling you to manually reset the door, which would be impossible).
One Day Post Issue: After that the system operated without fault several times. A day later I have not had a repeat of the false indication or app stubbornness. Even when I linked it to Google Home (yes, I paid the fee, though grudgingly) and gave it verbal commands, the app showed the appropriate door action and position … but I still am aware that the glitch happened.
Other Issues: Despite a year of promises to provide it (I have read), the system does not yet allow multiple accounts. New target: “sometime in 2018”. You can put it on your spouse’s device but only using your id and password. This is a negative. Also, some will be turned off by the fees (though modest) for Google Home and IFTTT links.
There is some indication with this experience that Chamberlain development skills for smart appliances and connectivity is not quite ready for prime time. Hopefully they are upping their game to work on their software and firmware and to enhance it with multiple accounts and a few more features.
First Impression: It is nice, it works, the mechanics and local connectivity seem quite good, but a security device demands a high level of trust needed for remote operation, and for me that trust still needs to be won. Hopefully I can return and add a star after a good run of glitch-less operation.

This has been the easiest smart home device installation that I have ever experience. Each step of the way was exactly as outlined in the manual. Everything connected easily and quickly. I have a lot of smart homes and other than the Phillips HUE system, this was the easiest.
Mounting is simple too. Anyone can do it.

I have the chamberlain garage door opener with this built in and really like it. My father liked the idea too but didn’t want to change his opener. So this was the perfect solution for the price and that it even integrates with other devices.

I didn’t even know something so amazing existed. All of those moments that I went out to exercise and felt I had to take my keys with me that were so cumbersome or I was concerned I would lose on a run. This gadget is SO easy to set up, so affordable, and truly a genius idea. Never be concerned about locking yourself out, be able to let others into your garage and never worry to yourself half way on your commute “Did I close the garage?” This is a must have affordable option for anyone that has a useable garage.

I use this while on my motorcycle so I can just use Siri to open the app and then open my garage. Easier than carrying a remote I have to dig around for.
Setup is SUPER easy; the companion app you use with this walks you through step by step. It is the easiest piece of tech I may have ever set up, The only bit of advice I can offer is to make sure the control hub is more than 4 feet away from the garage door opener; for some reason they don't get along if it's too close. The moment I moved it further away, it worked perfectly from then on.
Great product, great price.

I was looking at Youtube videos to check on installation. Do yourself a favor DON'T. It was so easy. They must have updated the app because there are step by step, very clear, directions to follow. Plug it into an outlet BEFORE you install it on the garage ceiling as they describe in the app, and you're on your way! It took me between 20-30 minutes after I got the ladder and tools ready. You pair it while its down from the ceiling to your wifi then pair it to the door sensor and your garage door opener. Once all paired up, just attach to your ceiling. For me, couldn't have been easier!

This product is great. I have numerous smart home product from Lights, thermostats, cameras, switches, outlets, and sound systems and this MyQ hub was the easiest smart home product I have ever installed. I have even recommended this product to many people who have also raved about the simplicity in the setup. This is a great addition to my collection. Not only can I see when the door is opened or closed but I can schedule it to close at a particular time or length of time if it is left open. This is a must have if you have ever questioned if you closed the garage door!!!!
