I purchased two as I have two separate doors. The first unit was a straightforward installation with very well made and thought through installation instructions by Chamberlain. The installation was easy and took less than 20 minutes. Once I noticed that the unit came unpaired so I had to pair again but a few weeks later it’s been fine. The second unit had issues pairing with my 19 year old opener but was on the compatibility list. After many failed attempts I called support. Keep in mind they are only open weekdays during business hours and Saturday until 3:30 PM PST so if you work a regular week don’t let your Saturday get away from you or you’ll wait another week. The support tech pushed a firmware update to my devices and it did seem to help and was able to pair. Since then it works fine at times and other times it will open but not close. I plan on calling them back to get this worked out but they have also been supporting via email. Very friendly people. I like the product and being notified when the doors open or close but for older openers there may be some bumps and maybe yours will be fine. From the Best Buy side I was told I had next day delivery and not only did that not happen until about a week later but the app did not give a status until about 4 days past SLA, that was disappointing as I had to change my plans.

I purchased this to replace a 3rd-party system. Once I got it installed in the garage, I had a problem connecting to the main unit. I moved the MyQ closer to the main unit and replaced the LED light bulb with an incandescent bulb. One or both of these steps solved the problem. The customer service was very responsive and helpful in diagnosing my situation and suggesting solutions. I appreciate being able to open/close garage with my phone and watch, although the watch app is not as reliable as the phone app.

Install wasn’t horrible, and it shouldn’t be. A few simple tools, power tools helps a lot. The app is easy to navigate, but needs some work. I couldn’t get wife a main user account, because I had already set myself as the main user on the hub. So after contact technical support, they told me to log in under my info on my wife’s phone, defeats the purpose of it (to me). Otherwise, works like a charm. Only had it not close once from the app, but I was home to close it.

This unit works as advertised. Installation is easy. Plug it in and attach to your wireless network. I had a difficult time getting the unit to pair with my garage door opener box. I finally figured out that I needed to repeatedly press the "Learn Code" button on the garage door opener box (i.e. thing hanging from the ceiling) and then the pairing happened within a few minutes. Now that it is paired, it works great. I have not paid the additional fee for the integration with Alexa, etc.... My main purpose for purchase was to remotely open the garage door when needed. This unit does that well.

If you ever wonder if you closed your garage door, this is for you. Easy to install and simple to use. Why waist time driving back to check your garage door status. Just look on the ap. If door needs to be opened or closed, just open the ap and touch the screen. Great unit.

Easily the best value smart home purchase I have ever made. When my brother was house sitting it not only allowed me to see when the door was left open, but i closed it from 800 miles away. The product is less expensive than 2 wifi enabled smart bulbs. It does seem to have some integration limitations, but im pretty sure thats due to saftey and liability. It would be like automating your door to open, plus the safety hazard of closing on something. Install took a little bit of time, but fairly easy.

It took a while for us to get the application to work on our phone. The reason was due to our internet connection. No fault of product. Once we resolve our installation issue, we love it. We now can control our garage door through our application. No more carrying around our remote controls. It sends a notification when the farage door is open and closed. No more wondering if the garage door stsyed open or close. Which is the reason we made this purchase.

We purchased this garage smart hub because we wanted to open/close garage from phone app and also to get notifications of garage use. There are times when you don’t remember if you closed the garage or not so this smart hub lets you know! We have had it installed for about a week and it has been working great. Installation was easy and less than 30 minutes. Following the app instructions made the installation smooth. I’d highly recommend this product to anyone that has a WiFi compatible garage motor. It’s definitely a great, helpful use.

Easy install for both parts. The sensor on the garage door mounts with a double side tape. The other part, I think they call it the hub is just two screws into the garage ceiling or wall. You need to have your opener learn it like it’s a new remote. The app tells me know almost instantly when the garage door opens. Also, since it can open the door as well I don’t need to bring keys when I go for a walk or run. I now just use the app on my phone to open and close.

This was easy to install, less then 30 . Minutes and little tools. App works as advertised and great with Wink controller. We have had a issue with our door opening by itself for a few years, Having this devise with a robot we are able to be notified when it happens and during specific hours have the door closed or disconnected . Too much smart devices in our home and cant track down the primary issue. Lots of options for making the door do other things with Home Kit and our wink controller, Nest, ring etc.

The MyQ garage hub was easy to install and set up. During WiFi set up be sure your mobile device is also connected to the 2.4GHz signal. Works as advertised. The iOS app needs a freshening of its appearance. It functions fine but looks bland.

This is great. It works as a bit of a security system by giving you alerts if it opens. And now I can open or close the doors from anywhere. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because the setup instructions are missing an important section telling you about a website you have to go to during the initial setup. I had to call the customer support line to find that part out. I couldn't find it in any of the YouTube videos either.

The system works great. The instructions are very confusing. The reasons for the confusion, there are several different instructions in the package. But overall I give the product 4 stars.

Poor directions but product works flawlesssly. Visit their website as the instructions there are far more comprehensive and make sense than the print out in the box. Took 5 minutes after reading. As easy as attach sensor as high as you can on garage door, place device as direct with the sensor while seeing decent house WiFi from your cell phone. Turn on, push sensor after powering on device. They will sync. Hit the learn button on your garage opener and hit the 1st button until it flashes. They will sync in a minute and turn a solid green. Download the app. Match the brand of opener you have and hit save. That’s its. It just works anywhere. I hit it as I pull on my street and my door is open as I pull in the driveway. Only thing to be mindful off. When your leaving. Your cell phone is probably still close enough to WiFi to get some signal but not enough to send a command. If you can’t close it either get closer to WiFi or rather away and cell data will handle Was a life saver this week. Bought new cars and as I pulled in realized I didn’t have a house key and hadn’t programmed the car yet to get in. Wife was out of town. Remembered I still had this app and I was inside in a minute Everyone thinking about it should do it. Such a great idea and product

Have not lost connection or had a false reading ever since getting this. It alerts me within seconds to the garage being opened and I can set custom alerts such as doors been open for 10 minutes, door has been open for an hour, door closed, etc. Installation went without any issues, though I’m a programmer so network stuff doesn’t phase me. My only complaint isn’t a deal breaker but annoying enough for me to take off one star is the beeping sound associated with closing the door. While I’m all for good notice when the door is closing, it continues long after the door has been shut and almost sounds like a smoke detector. So even when I get my alert that the door has been left open for x number of minutes, when I shut it, I have to double check to make sure I’m not hearing a smoke alarm cause it goes longer than it should. I feel the developers could allow the end user to setup the system so that once we see the door is shut, indicate that so we don’t have to deal with the obnoxious beeping. One last thing is I wish I didn’t have to log in. I would like to see the app function like Nest where I click the app and it loads. It does offer touch login but it would just be nice to alleviate the redundant step of logging in. All in all it’s not a deal breaker and very useful for ensuring you didn’t leave the door open or something. I have a connected smart home so I like to be able to check things from my smartphone.

It's not too terribly hard to set up. It works pretty well. I wish it would integrate with more smart home systems, like Wink or SmartThings. It will work for Amazon deliveries, so I can now get deliveries inside my garage. Form some reason, I get false reports about the garage being open when it isn't. That causes me some worry. Overall, worth it, especially if you get it on sale.

Pros: - Easy setup and programming - Very clear instructions - Companion video and YouTube directions were concise - App enables remote control from anywhere - Customizable alerts Only things people have complained about are loudish beeping prior to initiating door close and no integration with HomeKit. I like that the system beeps for a few seconds because it’s a safety feature. I don’t care for HomeKit integration. 5-stars and would buy again.

Very easy to install and love the usage. They should make the pairing with Homekit and google assistant free. Also it will be great to have one hub controlling multiple garage doors.

Opener works perfect, no issues at all. Let's you know if garage isn't closed and you can remote open and close from anywhere. The only down side is you have to pay for integration with a smart hub like Google home or even with ifttt. Also you can't remote open with voice but you can close with voice. Probably a security reason for this.
