Great Alternative to a New Smart Garage Door

A friend recommended I follow the installation instructions as stated on the app and he was right. Follow it as instructed and it’ll all work fine. Garage door opens immediately but the close does take a few seconds (after light is done flashing) because it’s set to a delay which I haven’t looked to see if it can be changed. Works just as intended.

Here are some of the problems to be aware of: 1. There is a significant delay between clicking open/close and actual response. I have consistent 4 bars in the garage so wifi is not the issue. 2. Another app to install, another account to maintain, another potential place for your information to be hacked out off. Why can't they just make it work with Smartthings? 3. They charge for Google Home integration. This was a DEAL BREAKER for me. I don't want to have to keep paying them every year just to be able to ask Google to open/close garage door! So - this is going back to Best Buy - mainly for #3.
