A friend recommended I follow the installation instructions as stated on the app and he was right. Follow it as instructed and it’ll all work fine. Garage door opens immediately but the close does take a few seconds (after light is done flashing) because it’s set to a delay which I haven’t looked to see if it can be changed. Works just as intended.

It is always a pain to keep track of door openers so we decided to invest in one of these baby’s. This garage door opener is tied to all of our phones and also has access to IFTTT which allows me to add it to my smartthings system. To control the door I have created a custom application that talks to WebCoRE and passes JSON files with codes to open the door.

You cannot plug the unit into the same outlet as your garage door opener. I could not get it to work until I moved it off the ceiling and onto a wall. I think the garage door motor induces a field or current on the unit and messes with it. Works well now that everything is setup, but every once in a while the sensor does not work and says that the door is closed when open or vice versa.
