Why do I need to pay extra for Homekit??

My biggest gripe is having to make a separate purchase to get Apple Homekit capability (Chamberlain MyQ HomeBridge $69.99). The mere factor of making my smart garage door opener Homekit capable was important enough I was willing to a spend almost as much as the entire kit to make it Homekit ready. This is why I’m giving the kit 3 stars. If they need to charge a little bit more or whatever.... it doesn’t matter. They need to make their kit Homekit ready out of the box! Do so, then they will have a 5 star kit!!!

I skipped past it and everything worked.. but only for about 10 min. I tried set up again and everything has worked well ever since. Been about a month now with no issues.

I purchased this one as an upgrade and to replace my old one. This one will allow you to set a schedule to ensure the garage door will automatically close at a specific time. Sometimes I would be working outside all day and forget to close the garage door. Now, if I forget, the door will automatically close at 8pm each night.

Instructions are completely specific or accurate. There are 2 MyQ app in the App Store...get the blue colored logo. Use the app to create account and setup device...I got an error message saying page unavailable when I tried from browser, the app was way easier and quicker. Product works great. I wish there wasn’t a paid subscription to link with google assistant directly.
