I don't necesarily think this is a bad unit, and probably normaly works really well.

However there are some flaws and drawbacks. 1.) The software is vary basic and is missing several features. 2.) It has no way of sending an alert if the garage door is open for a period of time, e.g. more than an hour. 3.) When I search in Google, I can't find the MyQ app, so I can't connect to Google Home. I did create the free subscription. 4.) It makes annoying beeps and flashes for several seconds with a delay in closing and there is no way to disable this annoying functionality that very few people would benefit from. 5.) It should have a feature of automatic opening when you approach with 10-20 ft.

The app integration was a breeze as well. So far, it has made no errors. I do like the alarm to alert anyone around when closing it from the app.

The directions for my Genie opener were not correct. I figured it out by following the instructions from Genie. Then discovered the same correct steps at the Chamberlain website. Other than that it works well and was easy to install.
