I travel a good bit and this would be a good source of power. It worked maybe 15 minutes. Then it started to beep an alarm as if it was overloaded....when it wasn't. I could turn it off and back on, and it would charge for a few minutes then alarm again. So I returned it.

Posted .Most likely the issue was due to the vehicle CLA jack dimensions are out of tolerance causing a loose or intermittent connection to the power inverter. An improved solution is to hardwire the inverter directly to the cars battery which will allow for the inverter to operate at it's full rated AC output level.

I've had it installed for 1 week and although the connections in the back are secure every time I hit a bump or touch the unit it gives this annoying horrible beep. it does the same on start up and shutdown.. In it's defense it does charge fast but the drawbacks just don't make it worth it. Returning this one and getting something better (I hope)

Posted .The beep sound after hitting a bump in the road may be due to a loose connection where the inverter CLA plug is attached to the cars CLA jack. Some vehicle manufacturers deviate from the SAE standard for CLA jacks and it's possible your cars CLA jack might be out of tolerance. To improve your experience with the inverter operation consider hard wiring directly to the car battery to eliminate intermittent power connections and will allow the inverter output at it's full 500 Watt rated output.

Bought a lesser inverter by the same company and it blew out first use. I exchanged up to the 500 it worked intermittently then quit. Got another one and it was dead right out of the box. I will return it and stay away from products by Cobra

This was purchased for a road trip and power inverter did not work! Tried in multiple vehicles and still didn’t work! Plug is too long for car ports and won’t make any good connections.

A few times it works fully but the slightest movement makes trips the breaker. I returned it the next day. Would not recommend to anyone.

Plugged it in my lighter, and didn’t work. I tested my lighter plug, it worked. I thought I was buying a bargain, 500watts pet outlet x2 outlets = 1000watts of power but the product didn’t work at all.
