Love this radar detector. Works great/easy install...even when you can't see them, it can! Saved me several times from getting pulled over.

I had a previous Cobra that lasted for many years, however, it finally gave out. Therefore, I knew I had to get another Cobra radar detector due to the great experience with the previous one. I'm so glad I bought this new Cobra RAD450 as we had a business engagement in Dallas in early June and this Cobra Radar and Laser Detector worked perfectly. It informed of radar activity up to about two miles and even behing small hills. It also works very well in traffic zones. I recommend it very highly as it's very reasonably priced.

I just bought this, as I do a lot of traveling by car and I wanted to make sure I am aware of where the radar guns are at. I do not speed or I rarely do (and never over 5 mph), but for those few times my speed is a little over, I want to get alerted to a nearby speed trap. I took this out for the first time and it worked great. It gave me plenty of warning and while it does give some false alarms, it does not give a lot of them. The price is so much better than a lot of the others on the shelves, so that is another pro. Glad I bought it.

I tried this out thinking it would be good because of the reviews. The price seems reasonable, but the radar itself has a lot of false alerts and late alerts, sometimes not even alerting at all. I tested it against my friend’s escort x70 and it didn’t pick up much of what the x70 was alerting to. For the price I paid, the radar is not worth it. I returned mine. Spend the extra money for a radar that will work. Using a radar is all about trust, and I would not trust this one.

Good distance, good alerts and easy to use. Good radar with a great price.

This is such a pleasant upgrade from my previous radar detector. It does pick up about a mile away on most bands but it does not go off every time you pull up behind a vehicle with blind spot assist such as a Tahoe an Audi or the Kia. My last radar detector was constantly going off because of those vehicles and their blind spot alert system

=> Tested out last weekend with a road trip, over 5 hours driving. => Found and alerted me for parked a police car (over speed 20+ mph), saved at least $200. ==> Love it.

This product has lived up to its name. Always alerts me when there are radar or laser detectors around. It also alerts me when there are radar detector detectors. The only thing I don’t like is that it sometimes picks up stores or banks security. It’s supposed to “learn” and not go off anymore, but mine still picks up the same banks and stores every time.

Great value and works great. A lot of excellent features with this radar detector. You get a lot for the price of this unit!

This detector is in many ways the perfect detector. Here's why. It does not have the range of the $600 detectors but essentially this is a plus - because it has fewer false signals, while it still detects police radar in time to slow down. It also covers all bands including Laser, K, Ka. It also has VG2 and Spectre signals - although I don't really see the point of Spectre and VG2 - just turn your detector off in Virginia and Wash DC. I have found it works fine and police are usually on Ka in my area. All K hits are auto-door openers so far. It does seem to light up more indicators when it is really police radar - great. In summary it works fine and ironically due to lower range than best detectors it may be better as I said above - but you choose. Lastly it says it has filtering for the new BLIS and other car avoidance systems - but can't fully attest to that. I did see it not detect (or filtered out properly) a Mercedes which had the BLIS or other collision avoidance systems as I saw the Mercedes light up in it's side view mirrors. However on American cars with BLIS it did sound off so this area is muddy which seems to be true of all detectors per my research. In the future I expect the best detectors will filter out the BLIS radar signal but will have an indicator of some sort so you know it thinks it saw BLIS. I'd buy this one for now till the best ones really get better.

Has saved me numerous times from getting tickets works for a long distance away and works in all directions. Would recommend to anyone who needs a radar detector.

Works good for the money did save me on a drive back from texas lol speeding just a little caught highway patrol hiding with radar on ...

My old Cobra just couldn't filter out the false alarms, Example my drive to buy it, my old detector probably went off 200 times, Installed new detector before I left store and the same route the detector went off 2 times no more side mirror alarm the alarm mutes itself after a coupe beeps easy to read face and has the ability to upload new software. The price excellent and works so good.

Like the display. Easy to use. Works great. Not many false alerts.

my first one was defective. I had to return it and got a second one. this one works amazingly. picks up all the alerts. saved me on so many tickets.

The Cobra radar detector is easy to use and very reliable. I used it on a trip to Florida and I was able to slow down in time when the detector sensed radar or laser being used. This is a wonderful detector for the price!

This radar detector works great for everyday use. If you are looking for the over the top tech savvy to have to use this maybe this one isn't it. Range is good, detection is very good. Alerts sometimes sounds when near store entrances but that is minor distraction. For the price range this is an excellent choice

I wish I would have bought this sooner, after getting spending tickets often this has definitely helped a lot. Not a single speeding ticket since I purchased it. It has saved me lots of time and money. It works great to detect from far away
