Not worth it

When it does go off the cop can be right next to me and it’s giving a low alert sound. And it constantly goes off when I’m next to traffic lights. All of this is on high or medium sensitivity so it should definetally be going off near cops.

Good basic detector
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After reading favorable reviews, I bought this Cobra to replace a BEL I had used for years, it finally quit on me. It does a very nice job overall. Most police in my neck of the woods use KA band, it doesn't have super long detection range on KA, but, its enough, at least a half a mile to a mile, depending on terrain. The OLED display is good for this price range, very visible and it won't wash out, even in direct sunlight. The "knight rider" scrolling line and screen saver are nice touches, too. Also nice- the alert volume automatically lowers substantially after 3-4 seconds of full volume alerts, nice if you get a pesky K band false, once in awhile it will still pick up K band falses from vehicles with blind spot monitoring or building alarm systems, traffic signals, etc, but not very often and its got online updates for K band falses, which I haven't tried yet. If you want a good basic detector that doesn't cost 500.00, this is a good one.
