Gives off false alert every now an then. This detector has paid for itself in a months time. The cops that light to hide a night with there lights off always used to get me but no more since the radar beeps in time for you slow down. I will say as soon as you hear the beep slow down a look for the cop.

Finally upgraded to a better radar detector. Cobra is what I've ran in the past. Hopefully it works as good as my other one. My other one had a lot of false alerts due to vehicles sensor systems. This one is supposed to block those out. We shall see!

Do you like to hit the gas a little too hard? Well this is great for you!! It has save me from about 5 tickets. There is always a motorcycle cop standing behind a sign with the radar/laser gun and like 5 cops behind her ready. This radar/laser detector picks them up right away! even state troops around the corner. Totally worth it!

Great range, filters out a lot of lane assist electronics and saved my rear quite a few times already. I do like the Knight Rider type scanner sweep on the screen. Well done Cobra.

This purchase was for the other car. I wanted a less expensive detector for it around town. I put my Passport next to it after purchasing to see how it compared. A few more false but warned within a second compare ti the passport. Great for driving around where most of the problems are anyway.

Price for this radar ain't bad and it'll do its job

It is very simple to use and is very sleek and accurate.

The unit would go off and sure enough I was able to moderate my speed in advance of speed traps while fast moving traffic did panic stops. A great destressor especially on long haul trips

Does a good job with low amount of false alerts. Easy to use

A lot of false alarms so only run bands that are used in your area. I only run ka because vg2 is mostly false alarms and k is literally always false. Specture is false too so. It’s saved me a few times though.

Have had for a week. I've owned radar detectors for over 25 years. This one seems pretty decent. Few false alarms. The new blind spot monitors on cars do not appear to set it off. Could not find firmware update on Cobra website....when I plugged into computer as per product manual nothing happens.

This is by far the best portable radar detector for windshield mount or dash. I love how its 100% adjustable for all bands and power sensitivity. has a few bonus features as well like battery voltage. no flashing lights just a beautiful display of frequency when picked up then it goes dark automatically.

After reading some reviews on other brands/types, I came to decide that this cobra was every bit as good as a lot of others that were 300+ dollars. Its been nice having it. Lets face it, none of these are ticket proof. You have to use some common sense too. But for the money, I would buy this again without question.

I waited awhile to say anything about this product so I could see how well it works. I'm still using it and it works excellent. I'll buy another when it gives out.
