I previously owned one cheaper radar detector but it was more of a "new-car detector" that beeps every time in observance of cars that sends out radar for various purposes. I researched online and found that this one comes with IVT-filter that would filter those false positives, and it works! --it has a much less number of false positives. I think it is also one of the most affordable radar detectors with IVT filters -- others can cost $500+. Overall, it is a 5-star radar detector based on its price.

Whether driving in the city or cruising through the countryside, this detector works without fail. It gives ample notice of impending radar/lasers giving enough time to adjust speed accordingly. Makes for a great stocking stuffer!!

Setting this unit up was a breeze but still trying to evaluate the alert distance. I have it set on the highest sensitivity but the times I did receive the alert may not provide me with enough reaction time. But as stated I am still evaluating.

Bought this for driving around town and for road trips. Seems to do a good job and gives plenty of heads up.

My husband‘s original cobra radar detector was stolen from his jeep when he was at work. This was a big loss for him LOL especially when running late and trying to get to work on time. He loves this new model.

I had come across this radar at best buy when I was going to buy a more expensive radar detector. I googled it and instead of spending $$$$. I bought the cobra and it works great. I actually bought 2 more for family members.

Out of the box this detector was simple to install and setup. Basically plug it in and go. The first day it saved us an expensive ticket by alerting us of a trouper that was driving in a Ford 4x4 pickup truck on i95. I would have never spotted him. I also like the voice alerts.

Works really good , doesn’t pick up other radars not gives you false alarms like the other radars I’ve had before . Easy to understand and comes with instructions Incase you’re not familiar with the options or what each alarm means

Amazing purchase, since it accurately warns us when there's an officer ahead. Great quality at an amazing prize! We've had this radar for a year already and has been worth every penny.

I'm replacing another brand of Detector, which I thought had problems, but didn't, that has worked for me for a few years now and so I was reluctant. But this one seems to be doing the job and I do like it's adjustable sensitivity settings.

Easy to set up. Seems daily good at picking up signals by has missed a few cops. Picks up automatic doors from stores and some semi trucks. Wish it had battery storage so it doesn’t always have to be plugged in.

Awesome radar detector. Has saved me a few tickets for sure. Love the fact that it detects lazer radar also.

This radar detector has an amazing range which has saved me from being ticketed more than once. It's very sleek; I have it placed on my windshield and it does not impair my vision. I consider this product to be of superior value.

I bought ink for my printer the last time I bought something at best buy.

Works really well. Have drove cross country with and and avoided KA bands all the time. Even helped well with Laser. Would recommend the R7 as well if you can afford it.

Already saved me had to drive to Tennessee and went off a couple of times and worked perfect. My old Cobra sound went out so I had to purchase this one.

I had this radar detector for today’s and it has already shown the value of having one. After I setup the detector for city I dectected a trooper on the side of the road on a narrow stretch on old state
