This headset gives out proper gamer vibes with its RGB accents, yet the metal/black finish gives it a sleek look. I don’t like it when the branding is loud, but I appreciate the glossy logo on the cups and light, subtle branding on the headband. Although made almost entirely out of plastic, the build quality is pretty solid, and there is no creaking at all.
I will say that these headphones are some of the most comfortable I’ve worn in a while. I finally had a chance to use them for more than 6 hours and I did not experience any discomfort on the top of my head and lower jaw (where it usually hurts). Because of the light clamping force and super soft breathable pads, my ears stayed cool at all times. I wear glasses and I barely noticed them. I must point out that the RGB is reflected on my glasses which are a bit distracting at night, so I have to turn it off.
This headset offers multiple connectivity options. I was able to use them with my PC, laptop, and X-Box X via the 2.4Hz dongle with no hassle. I also connected easily to my phone and Switch 2 via Bluetooth, which can be used simultaneously. The box said it could connect to the PS5 but had too many issues doing so. What impressed me the most was the range of this headset via the dongle. I was able to go into the kitchen and did not miss the online conversation -I even responded without issues!
The audio quality out of the box is quite good in my opinion. The bass is booming and has plenty of subwoofer quality. The midrange is noticeably recessed but can still come through when needed. The treble adds much needed clarity and sparkle to counter the bass. This adds a fun quality to action games and movies. The soundstage is expansive and natural due to the breathable pads. Imaging is good, especially when paired with ATMOS (PC and X Box only). The sound can be adjusted via the iCue app, which helped in certain FPS games where bass can be lowered in order to hear crucial sounds like steps.
When it comes to music the audio is just OK. It just has too much bass when listening on Bluetooth for my taste. I mainly used Bluetooth to answer calls.
Speaking of software, I strongly recommend downloading the iCue software. There, you can update firmware, customize the rocker button, change RGB, and adjust the microphone’s volume/sidetone. One thing to note is that any changes made are not saved to the headset, so it only applies to the PC where they were changed, which is a bummer.
The microphone is very, very good; both via the dongle and Bluetooth. It is super clear and allows very little outside noise to come through. However, I did notice that my voice sounded a bit too tinny due to compression. I do not have an Nvidia card, but I read that it gets better with the Broadcast app.
The battery life is outstanding. I had it for a few days and, having forgotten to charge it after unboxing, I still have not had the need to do so. Corsair claims over 70 hours, and I am inclined to believe that.
Overall, I am very impressed with the premium features, build, and sound quality -all at a very competitive value.

This review is for the Corsair Void Max wireless V2 gaming headset.
It is designed for XBOX but will work with all the main platforms PC, MAC, PlayStation, Switch, or Mobile.
It has a battery life of up to 70 hours, so I’ve never run out of battery life yet. Only putting it on the charging once a week when I’m offline. I find it to be lightweight and very comfortable. The ear cushions are made of memory foam and are very comfortable even after wearing them for hours for some longer gaming sessions.
The sound comes from dynamic 50mm drivers. And delivers a crisp clean sound. It also has a omni-directional microphone with a flip to mute. This is a must have feature for me. I have tried some headsets that don’t have this. When things get too loud around me I can quickly and easily just flip the microphone so my squad can’t hear me. So if you get a phone call or just need to chat with someone in your room. You can do so with out missing a beat and making unwanted noise for your team.
It is both 2.4Ghz and Bluetooth. Comes with a USB dongle for the 2.4Ghz and a USB-C charging cable. I am able to walk around my house and haven’t lost connection. So I can still hear what’s going on when I need to run and get a drink or help one of my kids out.
If you are in the market for a new headset or this is your first one. I would give these a try. I have been very happy with them so far. I’ve had other wireless headsets that had poor signal, bad sound quality and choppy mics. This set has been good all around.

Corsair Void V2 basically bears good standards for any wireless headset. The basic ingredients are solid: great audio quality, solid build quality, great connectivity options and of course, it is comfortable to wear and provides long-lasting battery life.
Before using it for the first time, the headset and the receiver unit need to be updated. The iCue software manages all of the firmware updates and the whole process takes minutes.
The build-quality is solid and the microphone has flip to mute function. However, I kind of missed the physical mute button that features in a much more expensive line of Corsair headsets.
The headset can connect to multiple platforms including XBOX. I used the headset for playing both XBOX and PC games and the experience is very solid. Spatial audio works great, and sound quality is detailed and rich. The headset is also comfortable to wear.
The battery is rated for 70 hours of wireless dongle use and 130 hours of Bluetooth. It has become my primary XBOX headset now.
Pros:
Great wireless audio experience for both PC and Xbox
Cons:
None, at least nothing that really matters, it’s just solid.

I am always in the market for a nice headset because I like to rotate them when one dies from battery. I decided to try out the VOID MAX headset because of the long battery life it boasts. I was pleasently pleased at the battery life however feel it comes short on the sounds , mic and comfort. It is great to see it is "Out of Box" ready with a charge and plug in play USB dongle. It was very easy to setup and enable Dolby Atmos for the headset. The sound quality is good but not great. it hits the highs and lows well but not cyrstal clear comparing to other headsets. I tested it within games, movies and videos. There is a great video on YouTube that tests DolbyAtmos that I recommend using when testing these headsets. Also the Mic is super sensitive to the point it comes across as muffled. I would recommend a cover for the head of the mic to help with the muffled sound. The distance from the USB dongle to the headset was impressive. There are times where I would pause my game , walk to the kitchen for a drink and still have great connection.
Overall this is a good headset for the price point and recommend it for those who are in need of a headset and not looking for the top line features.

The Ultimate Multiplatform Gaming Headset

Honestly, I do not even know where to start with this review, but what I must say is that Corsair is a company that does not disappoint their customers. Every aspect in this VOID v2 MAX headset from the packaging to the performance and functionality reflects how Corsair is committed to maintain its quality and performance. It is wireless multiplatform headset that features a sleek design, comfort, and ultimate performance. Unboxing shows how Corsair has paid attention to everything including packaging, the headset is wrapped in soft cloth for protection. The headset comes with 2.4GHz USB-A transmitter as well as USB-C charging cable.
Once fully charged, I plugged it to my PC and ran the preinstalled iCUE software, I checked for updates, and both the headset and the transmitter had an update. After that I went through the settings, EQ adjustment, and assign key function and personalize RGB. iCUE provides a wide range of tweaks and personalization capabilities that enhanced my personal preference. In addition to the basic settings, I enabled Dolby Atmos with spatial audio, and Dolby feature is most needed, its 360 audio is truly immersive and takes the headset to the next level. Allowing me to hear everything around me in an immersive and spherical mode. Pointing out every step makes my gaming experience even more enjoyable. Additionally, I downloaded and enabled NVIDIA Broadcast plug-in to enhance the voice clarity by suppressing background noise, which is an excellent feature that makes difference in voice chat “thank you, Corsair.” Key assignments are a nice ability to assign keys for doing a specific function. I left it unchanged.
The headset is all-in-one solution, and one stop shop for those looking for multiplatform headsets. The design is sleek, lightweight, breathable cushions are my favorites as they keep my ears cool during long gaming sessions. Connectivity wise, it supports simultaneous 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth, which allows two devices to remain connected seamlessly such as console, PC, and smartphones. After using it for hours, I was able to play on Xbox while talking to my friend on my iPhone without interruption. I have tried it on different platforms, and I can tell it is the best in class and none of the other multiplatform headset that I tried and still own offers such smooth switching from platform to another, no delay or lag. The only difference is when I use it on Xbox when, I must press power button twice to switch to Xbox mode unlike on PS5 and Nintendo, it is completely plug-and-play and no need to adjust any additional settings for it to work. Overall, this headset is truly an all-in-one powerhouse and one of the best multiplatform headsets I have ever used.

Punching above its weight class!

This is a headset that is punching WAY above its weight class in terms of the types and quality of headsets one normally expects at this price. The mix of features and compatibility with this headset, combined with the excellent audio quality and features like simultaneous 2.4ghz and Bluetooth, and the flip-up boom mic, all in aggregate, make this one of the most obviously good value video game peripheral purchases of the season.
In this review, I will try as much as possible not to overdo it with technical information and data; we all have the ability to jump on the specifications page of the Best Buy sales site and check out the details. What I instead seek to do is to convey the real physical experience of this headset and what it has meant in my gaming and audio experiences.
First of all, this is an incredibly comfortable headset. I am very pleased to see them embrace a comfortable cloth mesh pattern for both the headband cushion and ear cups and avoid the dreaded pleather type material that causes my Irish-descendant ears to roast like Jo-Jo’s in the oven! The materials feel of a quality worthy of a headset of this price with appropriate usage of plastic and alloys and the points of contact being breathable and soft. One of the highest pieces of praise I can give a headset is when I stand up from the computer desk and I have actually forgotten I am wearing the headset!
The audio quality of this headset is actually tremendously good, even without choosing any EQ profiles or customizing the available spatial audio! I appreciate when a company balances a gaming headset with an appreciable amount of bass that doesn’t overwhelm the entire audio experience. This certainly suits and gives the impression that you are sitting in a theater seat with the audio surrounding you rather than having to focal points of audio blasting directly at your ear drums.
The compatibility, like I said at the beginning of the review, is ultra commendable. Xbox, PC, Playstation, Switch, Mobile, this thing can do it! I have tested this extensively with my gaming PC over 2.4ghz connection and have been very happy with the experience with no discernable audio dropouts or issues during music listening or gaming!
Altogether, this headset arrives on my list of recommended peripherals for gaming as a “Definite buy”. The compatibility is just too good here and it should accommodate a wide variety of needs!

For gamers & others at excellent sound experience.

At first, the Corsair Void V2 Max Wireless Gaming Headset provides remarkable sound experience during gaming but not limited to it. For video with Dolby Atmo feature feels the spatial sound as littles sound comes from different angle of directions. For the music, although it is not specifically made for, can listen crips musical note and voice on the at the different layers.
Its specifications are
- Audio Driver: Custom 50mm Neodymium
- Frequency Response: 20Hz - 20 kHz
- Impedance: 32 Ohms @ 1kHz
- Sensitivity: 116dB (± 3dB)
- Mic Type: Omni-directional
- Mic Impedance: 2.2k Ohms
- Mic Frequency Response: 100Hz – 10kHz
- Mic Sensitivity: -40dB (± 3dB)
- Dimensions: 105(L) x 170(W) x 193(H) mm
- Weight: 303g
- Warranty: 2 Years
- Controls
- Volume
- On/Off Button
In the package:
- Headset with USB-C Port
- Charging Cable USB-A to USB-C
- Wireless Receiver USB-A
Connecting:
The headset supports two connections, one via Bluetooth and second using wireless receiver. In both cases connecting to a pc/mobile/game consoles has simple and standard process. Only note is unlike the process for Bluetooth, with wireless receiver automatically is recognized.
Sound Experience:
It create a dimensions of sound centered to the user. The sound designed for the game, the note of the music in the background, main character of the game can notice the direction from which mostly come from all placing as within that universe at that moment. One could guess it could be in part an effect from the Dolby Atmos support, but regardless across any type of sound it was above average quality.
Even if there were noisy surrounding and the headset not being a noise cancelling, can feel very low or nothing about it while using it.
On the comfort of wearing it, it cover nicely around the ears as if sealing everyting around and still Spatial Audio when the device and application includes such feature. It if sturdy and the cushion well made. However, as a whole headset itself feels heavy.
For the calls and chat, similarly has good sound and the other end could hear fine without major latency,
Setting with iCUE
Its control with iCUE was a bit on and off experience. First when open the application, showed message that the headset has to be connected with cable, but it didn’t show in the dashboard. But it showed up after connecting via wireless receiver. Then the upgrade of firmware was not quite instructive at first.
Secondly, the iCUE doesn’t support same devices from Corsair. Using Corsair game mouse for instance, it requires separate control web site and use of a second receiver dedicated to the mouse. As result, for case of user with mouse and headset from Corsair for game, need to go through respective app and web, then having to have two or more receivers hooked to the PC/Game Console.
What I wish it would do better:
- Charging cable is too short: It is only 1ft 23. As result, can’t use the headset while charging as one use case. It would be good if it 6ft for better mobility.
- Charging cable is not USB-C for both end. Wish it were both USB-C then have an adaptor for USB-A if want to make a complete headset experience. In this subject, the same go for the receiver not being USB-C.
- It’s weight a bit litter. Understandably, it feels solid and deliver really good sound experience, but after a while wearing it, can start feeling some weight over the head.
- Ear cup. As it isolate the sound very well. However for long hour of wearing it, it start feeling some heat within forcing to remove it. Would be nice if the would be a mechanism or material to have that heat removed with fresh air.
- Single wireless receiver and control for all Corsair devices. As described above, have to use one receiver per Corsair mouse and second one for the headset. Then respective app and web for firmware update and control.
To finish, it has some details that doesn’t make perfect, but from sound experience point and game and other usage purpose, it does very well.

The CORSAIR VOID V2 Max Wireless Gaming Headset is an excellent all-around headset that delivers on every front. The sound quality is powerful and immersive, with clear highs, solid mids, and deep bass that works perfectly for gaming, movies, and music. The wireless connection is stable and responsive across Xbox, PC, PlayStation, and mobile, making it incredibly versatile.
Comfort is another big win—lightweight design, breathable ear cups, and a snug fit make it easy to wear for long gaming sessions without fatigue. The microphone is clear and reliable, with great voice clarity for both team chat and calls.
A standout feature is the CORSAIR iCUE app. It lets me easily control the RGB lighting, customize settings, and—most importantly—check the battery level at any time, which is extremely convenient. The software is intuitive and adds real value to the headset.
Overall, this headset feels premium, performs flawlessly, and offers smart software support. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a high-quality wireless gaming headset.

I’ve been running the CORSAIR VOID V2 Max Wireless through its paces on the Xbox, and honestly, it’s one of those headsets that quietly earns its keep. First off, the sound profile is clean and immersive — Dolby Atmos support paired with custom 50mm drivers. Whether I’m deep in a movie or bouncing between Discord and gameplay, the audio stays crisp and balanced.
What really sold me is the dual connectivity: simultaneous 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth. I can take calls or scroll TikTok while waiting for a game to load — no need to switch devices. That’s a game-changer for me, especially when I’m coordinating with friends or juggling playlists for the correct game im playing.
Comfort? It’s built for long sessions. The memory foam ear cushions and breathable microfiber fabric keep things cool for me during long sessions — and I’m in Mississippi, so that matters (its hot). The headset is light at 303 grams and its well-distributed, and I didn’t feel any pressure points, even with glasses on. That’s rare.
Battery life is another win: up to 70 hours on a full charge, and a quick 15-minute top-up gives you 6 more hours. That’s sweet when you’re heading into a late-night game sessiobn and forgot to plug in the headset earlier.
Mic quality is solid — auto-mute when you flip it up is intuitive, though I wish it were detachable. It’s clearly designed for home gaming, not commuting, and that’s fine by me.
A few small touches I appreciate: the RGB lighting is subtle, not flashy; the earcup controls for game/chat balance are super handy on the Xbox. The headset lays flat on my neck when I need a break — no awkward neck pressure.
At $149, it’s not budget-tier, but it punches above its weight in features and comfort. If you’re looking for a headset that doesn’t just sound good but feels right for long sessions and multitasking, this one’s worth the money.

Bottom Line Up Front
The CORSAIR VOID WIRELESS v2 is a budget-friendly, multi-platform gaming headset that delivers strong battery life, versatile wireless options, and accessible customization through iCUE while keeping a surprisingly competitive feature set for the price.
Design and comfort
- Fit and materials: Breathable memory foam ear cushions wrapped in microfiber fabric provide consistent comfort during long sessions.
- Build and controls: On-ear controls give instant access to mute, volume, and mode switching. The power button placement is inconvenient and harder to access than it should be.
- Multiplatform focus: Dual wireless compatibility for PC, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch, and mobile makes the headset a flexible pick for mixed-console households.
Sound performance
- Drivers and spatial audio: Custom-tuned 50mm drivers combined with Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio produce dynamic and directional sound that helps pinpoint footsteps, explosions, and movement precisely.
- Overall fidelity: Audio quality is not perfectly consistent across all sources but remains well above "horrible" and more than acceptable for gaming, movies, and casual music listening.
- Use case:Dolby Atmos and driver tuning deliver a clear advantage in positional awareness for competitive play while providing immersive soundscapes for single-player and media consumption.
Microphone and voice features
- Microphone tech: The omni-directional mic with NVIDIA Broadcast technology effectively reduces background noise and produces clear communication for teammates and calls.
- Practical results: Voice clarity and noise rejection are strong for a headset in this price range.
Battery life and connectivity
- Endurance:Up to 70 hours of battery life enables days of use between charges.
- Fast charging: A 15-minute top-up supplies around 6 hours of play time.
- Wireless modes: Low-latency 2.4GHz wireless covers high-performance gaming needs while Bluetooth offers easy device switching and added versatility.
Software and customization
- iCUE integration: CORSAIR iCUE provides RGB control, mic customization, firmware updates, and pre-tuned profiles.
- Missing element: The current lack of an integrated iCUE equalizer is a notable omission that limits on-the-fly tonal adjustments, which is the primary reason the headset earns four stars instead of five.
Pros
- Exceptional battery life and fast-charge capability.
- Dolby Atmos and capable 50mm drivers for strong spatial audio.
- Dual wireless modes plus easy multi-platform switching.
- Comfortable memory foam ear cushions for long sessions.
- NVIDIA Broadcast noise reduction delivers clear voice communication.
- Aggressive price to feature ratio.
Cons
- Power button placement is poorly located and inconvenient.
- Audio quality varies with source and is not uniformly consistent.
- No built-in iCUE equalizer limits granular on-device tuning.
Verdict
For anyone seeking a budget-friendly headset with long battery life, reliable wireless performance, and strong spatial audio, the CORSAIR VOID WIRELESS v2 is an excellent value. The headset delivers most of the features gamers want at a modest price with only a few compromises. The inconvenient power button and the absence of an iCUE equalizer keep it from perfection, but it remains the best budget unit I have tested and one I would happily buy if needed.

The CORSAIR - VOID V2 Max Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox, PC, Playstation, and Mobile – Carbon is a plug and play midrange value headset that is extremely comfortable and produces fantastic sound quality. It’s super lightweight with large soft cushions made from memory foam and breathable microfiber fabric. The weight is barely 300grams and the plush fabric-covered ear cushions and thick padded headband create a very comfortable gaming session. The snug and plush earcups that have replaceable mesh-covered foam earpads can rotate angles up to 90 degrees. There are two RGB strips down the front side of each earpiece to display a variety of RGB options such as lights flickering between a range of different colors. The controls are on the left earcup. From there I have connection ports, the power button that can switch between the 2.4GHz wireless and Bluetooth connections and a textured multi-function button below it. The multifunction button can answer/hang up phone calls, play/pause music, skip a track, go back one track and enter Bluetooth pairing mode. A volume rocker, which can also be pressed to access the headset's onboard EQ presets is also there. There are 4 EQ presets to choose from, though the standard EQ setting is surprisingly flat. I can install the iCUE software to get the most out of the Void Wireless V2, with a 10-band EQ, except that is only available for PC and Mac. Of course with the VOID V2 50mm drivers I have plenty of sound coming out powerfully. It produces a balanced sound profile, with deep but slightly restrained bass, a solid midrange, and clear, comfortable highs. Connections come via both Bluetooth and a sizeable 2.4Ghz USB-A wireless dongle. The VOID V2 includes an omnidirectional microphone arm that automatically mutes when flipped up and turns on when angled down. This non-detachable boom mic is above-average in microphone quality. It is great for chatting with friends and teammates and it performs exceptionally well, with the amount of depth it manages to capture. Charging is via a USB-C port, with its included 1.8m charging cable giving a maximum of 65 hours of playtime. The CORSAIR - VOID V2 Max Wireless Gaming Headset for Xbox, PC, Playstation, and Mobile – Carbon is a very versatile headset. As the latest CORSAIR on the market, at a great price, this VOID V2 has not disappointed my gaming experiences.

Nice Headphones Corsair

Nice comfortable feeling headphones that don't sit to tightly on the ears. The USB donglle for wireless connection is the standard corsair USB, but nice and large, about the size of a typical USB flash drive, giving it decent range in my testing and not likely to be lost on the floor. It is USB A and I find front of the PC or an extension USB-A cable from the back to make sure its has an unobstracted view works awesomely in ensuring no drops, but that is mostly because I have a large steel oldschool case and it tends to block a lot. Laptops shouldn't be an issue, unless you don't have a USB-A port, in that case your need a USB-A to USB-c, so be aware. Same for the charing the cable.
I found the battery to be long lasting and able to handle going days at a time between chargings. Also the volume on the headset is a rock switch, something different but I found easy to find when headphones are on and control, just different from the whell.
Microphone worked well and is flip to mute. Its also flexible allowing for some different adjustments to get your voice just right. Only thing I worry about being flexible and not removal is damage to it over time, and not something I can measure, just something to consider.
Sound is great and just perfect I found for gaming. Didn't make me any better but at least when I lost in games I could hear why which is always a plus.
Overall I found these to be great headphones that work well and recommend them.
