Since I am on a Cricket plan, you might have guessed I am "frugal". I came late to the smartphone market and was surprised at what you could get for less than $100 just a few years ago. (You may have also guessed I am an older guy, 60.)My first smartphone was an HTC Desire 625. Had everything I needed, but after a while I started to wonder if all smartphones used up the battery as fast as the Desire, my minimal use still meant I needed to recharge every night. And I had a few quibbles with some built in programs, the speed, the lack of onboard memory, a few buggy things. I read good reviews about the Huawei Elate and bought one for $65 retail. It is amazing what you can get for so little these days. As I said, I am not a heavy user, and typically at the end of the day I still have a 75% charge left on the Elate, sometimes more. It is faster, smoother, has more onboard memory, a good looking display, (even nice wallpapers) and I really like the user interface, it is a compliment to say the interface reminds me of Apple products. I have had it a couple of weeks and no glitches so far. A built in program helps transfer data from the old phone, I had trouble with that at first, but I did get it to work, not sure if it was the old phone that was causing the trouble. And the price? Well, you could buy more than ten of these for the price of the latest and greatest from Samsung or Apple. For myself, who does not ask a lot of a smartphone - email, a little web use, navigation, a few photos, texting - I don't see how I could do better for the money. By the way, I don't bother to write many reviews, so I do have some enthusiasm for this product.

Trying to manage the storage is not good. Even when swapping to use the extra sd card that has plenty of storage available it doesn’t always stay as it’s supposed to.

I bought this phone to replace an iPhone 5s. This phone had easy set up, large screen. Everything j wanted and needed in a phone. Highly recommended

Not much to add to what the other reviewers have stated. The phone is excellent and the best part is the two days I get without charging. I'm a light user. No lag, really fast. No complaints at all.

I did alot of research before I bought this phone and its the best cell phone purchase I ever made!! Beautiful screen, smooth transitions, tons of features and great battery life.. It is basically the same phone as the huawei Ascend 2. I had to switch to Cricket and it went very smooth changing over. If you are looking for an awesome phone for 64.99 this is a amazing buy... very happy!!!

This phone is so nice and it's smooth pictures are clear speakers are loud this phone works great on social media like snapchat etc. The cases on amazon are nice for it it's just a classic neat looking phone you can also download themes and fronts on this phone from the play store.... Huawei themes as well as download fronts witch makes it even better i can't put the phone down its just amazing also I got it for very cheap during a promotion at best buy when u purchase a phone card from cricket u get this phone for hardly nothing this is the perfect phone has notification light holds a long charge and I'm a heavy user also charged so quick this phone is a Go for.

This is the phone for my middle school kid. I was not expecting a lot from it, as it's just a $65 phone. I was shocked after we open it and set it up. it run smoothly; everything functions well. the picture from its camera is very impressive. I just cannot believe someone can make a phone like this for just $65? actually, I bought it with a $30 cricket card and a sim kit. this generates an additional $30 discount. it is a steal.

Came from a ZTE Axon 7, which is ZTE's flagship device, the Huawei Elate is IMPRESSIVE to say the least! Starting from the Display to the Battery, this phone excels each and every category. It's lighting quick. It comes with a handful of pre-installed apps that are un-installable. I would easily paid $300 for this phone. Buy one and you'll see why.

Had been a Cricket user for years. Used to buy cheap phone from Cricket, owned HTC 625, Samsung sol for last two years. bought this phone from Bestbuy because it's onsale. Love it!!! battery life is good, camera is good. I don't install many apps, 16gb already more than enough for me. Ordered two more for my parents.

There isn't a bad thing I can say about this phone. Exceeded my expectations. Could use a little more ram, but I'm amazed at the performance of this phone. Had for a month with no problems so far! Definitely recommend this phone.

If you're looking for a new low-budget feature-packed phone for cricket, look no further. The only negative so far is no NFC, but that's negligible. It's speedier than I thought it would be, and CPU-intensive apps like Snapchat run very smooth. Highly recommended for the price and value.

It's awesome. Only thing I dislike is it's already freezing and I've barely had it for 4 days but maybe it's because I already dropped it. Not to where it broke it just got chipped on the left bottom corner. (Very small) But other than that it's a great phone for the price.

This phone does not allow you to move apps to the SD card, there is no option and unless you root the phone it's not possible. The SD card is worthless and there is not enough space to run all my apps. This should be in the description!

i do notice that it something is not as smooth as iphone but at this price it really worth it.
