A: Yes but you’ll have to look for Hwauei Ascend XT2 it’s the same phone for AT&T prepaid and under that name you will cases for it
Q: Can I use this phone as an unlocked phone for T-Mobile?
A: This phone is locked to Cricket service. You can request to have the phone unlocked after 6 months of service with Cricket. Therefore, it is NOT unlocked and can't be used with T-Mobile. Great phone through.
Q: Did this handset get the early March software update that the AT&T Huawei ascend xt2 got?

A: Don't Know if they have differences internally I know they have the same shell. Cricket uses at&ts network. I have used att phones on crickets network with no problem except you will have waisted factory apps of AT&T instead of cricket on your phone that take up storage space. I used Verizon phone on tmobiles network years ago and the phone constantly sent me notifications saying i was using an incompatible device. I did have to go into apn settings watching a YouTube video to make picture messaging and data work. It did work but definitely could be a hassle. If you have to reset your phone you have to do that process again. Pretty sure you could get them to work but would it be worth the hassle and waisted storage space? You could probably get someone to fully unlock it but after the extra money and time you wouldn't be saving much or anything at all.
