    Super Versatile Tracking!

I’ve been looking for a more versatile tracker and this one fits the bill. The fact that this uses a combination of GPS, cellular, wifi, AND bluetooth for tracking, makes this tracker extremely versatile with how you can use it as well as its accuracy. // Versatility I can use this for tracking my vehicle(s), pets, bikes, and even myself (more details on that in the Sharing section). It’s small enough where I can easily hide it in my vehicle and there are built in holes on each side of the Cube so I can attach it to a dog collar easily. It’s not quite small enough to hide it inside most bicycle frames but it can easily fit inside a little saddle bag. // Sharing Location with Friends and Family You can share the location of the tracker with your friends and family so this is where you can track yourself and share the location with your chosen contacts so this could be useful where let’s say you were going backpacking or traveling alone, you can have this on you so your loved ones know where you are. // Location History I really like the fact that it not only shows its current location in the app but also the location history so you can see where this tracker has been. Super cool. // Virtual Fence Another feature I really love is the virtual fence feature where it can alert you if the tracker goes outside of a defined zone. // Audible Tones This tracker can also make pretty loud beeps/ringtones for tracking it down when you get within a closer proximity of about 20-25 feet and the ringtones are fairly unique so I think for most people you should be able to hear it even from a distance. // Battery Life Battery life will vary based on how you use it when it comes to tracking intervals, strength of cell signals, and a host of other factors. Real-world usage for me was about 2 weeks which may pale in comparison to bluetooth-only trackers but I think that’s probably to be expected since this leverages many more methods of tracking/communication. What’s also nice is that they have a setting where you can set up a “Safe Zone” based on a location where if it senses that its in this zone, like lets say your house, it can go into a power saving mode where its not using a cell signal to save on battery life. // Subscription Being that this tracker uses cellular in addition to GPS, wifi and bluetooth, this device has a subscription associated with it starting at $16.50/month which isn’t necessarily a drop in the bucket but I think of it as something like insurance for anything of high value. For the use case of keeping track of a pet I think that’s well worth it. Also, at just $29 for the tracker itself, that’s actually not a bad monthly price to pay considering the device itself it rather inexpensive.

Great tracker for off leash dogs in the woods!

This Cube GPS tracker works wonderfully! There are so many great features for the price. I got it as a gift for tracking a dog that still needs recall training. It picked up her signal in the woods and most importantly was able to give me a piece of mind that I would be able to find her if she ran off. Would highly recommend to any dog owner that is worried about their dog getting lost - it is a way more affordable option than some of the other GPS trackers! Plus its easy to use with just your phone app!

    Cube Vehicle GPS Tracker

What is in the box. The Cube USB Charging cable Cube GPS Instructions Cube GPS Accessories Document The Cube comes packaged in a sturdy cardboard box. The Cube is surrounded by stiff foam. The Cube itself is metal encased with no access to internal parts. On the Cube is a push button and an LED light. The Cube has 2 slots for a holding strap. The instructions stated to charge the cube for 2 hours before use. The Led light is red. It flashes while charging and is on steady when fully charged. My LED light did not work. An E-Mail to customer service was set after hours and a reply was received first thing in the morning with instructions to reset the unit. When this failed a replay was sent and an immediate reply was received with an offer to send a new unit. After charging the unit overnight we installed the app. The app allows me to see the battery indicator. Tracking the vehicle, you can set up reporting interval of between 1 and 5 minutes. According to the user guide the quicker tracking time uses more battery. While trying to set up the Cube in the app you have the option to scan the Cube for the serial number. This option did not work after repeated tries I had to set it up manually. After setup was completed, I began tracking my truck. I had the reporting interval set to 1 minute. There was a slight delay in the position, but this is to be expected. I had the driver park the vehicle 14 miles away in a mall parking lot. I used the app to locate the truck and began turn by turn directions. I app brought me to with 3 feet of the vehicle. I designated the office as a safe place. This allows the Cube to enter the power saving mode to save battery life. The app also includes: SOS Button: When you set this up the app will send a prerecorded text message along with your location to your family and friends. Virtual Fence: You can set up a Virtual Fence, and the app will alert you when ever the Cube enters or leaves the area. Proximity Tracking: The feature allows you to receive alerts whenever the Cube enters or leaves the Bluetooth range of your phone. Fly Mode: Just like your phone this shuts off the reporting until this mode is turned off. Last Seen and Live Tracking: This allows you to find the Cubes last known reported location. While tracking if you hit the “Live ICON” on the map after the next position update. The Data Plan. The data plan for the Cube is a monthly charge. This plan is setup to automatically renew each month until you cancel. There is no charge to cancel or restart the service. This allows for flexibility. Only track when you need to. There is a section in the guide on placement of the Cube inside a vehicle. This should be read before you install the Cube in a vehicle. The Cube can also be hard wired to the battery, thus eliminating the need to recharge. The app allows you to have more the one Cube and you can track them independently. Although I took off points for the light not working and the Scanning of the barcode not working, I would recommend the Cube to family and friends.

Useless I bought this based off reviews to put in one of the boxes that the movers took. It died after two days I fully charged it too. I thought the battery would last longer than that.

The GPS is very sturdy and very well-made. It is a metal shell from what I can tell and I would bet that it could take quite a few hard knocks. Its rechargeable and lasts about 2 weeks on a full charge. Per the instructions the uses include cars, pets, and various possessions of your choice. The activation is simple and super-quick. It's done via app as everything is these days. You'll need an account to login to manage your GPS. I just wish the subscription was more affordable. I personally cant see the value in paying close to $200 per year (or $20 a month) to track anything via GPS but your use case may differ from mine. The app shows your current location and you can watch your, in my case vehicle, move in nearly real-time and track yourself. I gave my mom my login to the app and now she can track me. There's also a more secure way to do it called Device Sharing in the app but I think mom is trustworthy :) The UI on the app is very clean and intuitive. You can get alerts when the GPS moves, there's also an SOS feature, and a virtual fence to let you know when your tracker leaves a certain location. You can power off the tracker in the app itself which is a nice feature. If tracking your large assets is mission-critical to you and you can foot the subscription then you won't do much better than this little GPS unit.

Super easy to setup, decent battery life, and great accuracy. I put this in my teenager's car to track speed and location if past curfew. This device did everything I wanted it to do. I setup a boundary in the app so it would notify me anytime the tracker left my area. Based on the settings I put in, the battery appears to last for about 15 days. The battery is the biggest complaint I have. While I love the device, it can be tricky to remember to charge this device every few weeks to months depending on your configuration. For me, I would need to remove the device from the vehicle every few weeks to charge. If I found a splitter for the USBs that I have existing in the vehicle, I'm sure I could have it automatically charge in the vehicle. At this point, I don't have any extra USB/12V ports. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who needs to track the location of a vehicle and get the history on it. Keep in mind any charging requirements that you may need to make work to make this a seamless process!

5 Stars for this truly inexpensive, small and super light weight piece of equipment that tracks vehicles with no issues. This device will provide you with the time, GPS location and can last up to several weeks if you keep before a charge (if monitor is at least on 10 mins). I would definitely recommend this purchase.

I love this tracker! It says it isn't real time tracking but you can hit live and it'll play for an hour but it literally updates every minute or so as it is! The battery last forever. I've already had it on vehicle for a couple weeks and it's still over 90%. Thanks cube... yall are awesome and would always recommend your product.

I really like the cube, the cube works perfectly. I actually use it for Ag PS on my vehicle. If anything ever happens to it, you know, getting stolen or something like that. I would be able to track it right now. I have to charge the cube But that's OK, it works perfectly and I love it. And I'm very, very glad that I bought it. I would recommend it to anybody, and that's just the only one thing you can use it for there's so many more your pets. Anything you want it's limitless I love it

GPS tracker lacking in functionality and features

By now, most folks have gotten used to the idea their phone will be tracked everywhere they go. Wouldn’t it be nice if we could do the same with our luggage or our car? That’s exactly what the Cube GPS tracker is designed for. It’s self contained, battery powered and keeps in touch with the world through a dedicated cell connection. The battery is said to last for up to 2 weeks, depending on usage. In the week I’ve used it so far, I would believe that claim. Unfortunately, that’s where the good news ends. While the Cube GPS does exactly what it says, it doesn’t do much more than that. First, the glove box blocks the signal. I’ve driven my car all over the area with the Cube in my glove box. It’s still showing that the Cube is in my garage. Because it’s not able to connect, I also can’t see location history. When history is available, it will reveal where tracking snapshots were taken, based on a user-selected interval of either 1, 3, 5, or 10 minutes. The interval is designed to save battery life (longer interval = longer battery life). The downside is the history map looking a bit like a bad connect the dots picture from 1st grade. For those looking to track their daily mileage for a Doordash or Uber mileage log, plan to look elsewhere. The Cube remembers where it was when it “phoned home”, but discloses nothing in between. There is, therefore, no way to determine total distance travel, when you’ve moving vs parked, or anything else useful other than certain spots where you might have passed along the way. On top of all this, the Cube is not free. There’s a monthly fee for the cell connection. You can pay monthly (i.e. track your luggage on a trip) or you can get a discount on an annual basis. I was hoping that the Cube would give me the benefits of a car based tracker like T-Mobile’s Sync Up with the added value of a battery based tracker I could use for luggage. A device like that would be worth keeping on retainer for multiple applications. Unfortunately, the battery alone is not worth the drop off in other functions from a car based device. This is headed back where it came from.

I bought this so I could put it in my car while it was at the mechanics so I would know if they took it on any joyrides or not, the app allows you to see exactly whete the tracker is and where its been, it draws a line on the map of where its been. Pretty cool. I hid it inside one of the seats, pretty compact, nice quality as well. I cant vouch for the battery life as I had it set to every 10 minutes, and didnt need it longer than a week, but for what I bought it for, it was perfect, had a pretty precise location too, I was worried it would be vague, it was better than I thought. The only drawback is the monthly subscription (19.95), but I cant say I blame the company for it. Good service like this comes with a price. Would recommend.
