    My eARC stopped communicating between my receiver and tv. Geek Squad came to my home (after a considerable wait). After 45 minutes of checking settings and my HDMI cable, I was told it’s the TV. No offer to help, or bring the set in for service. I bought a new set. Problem remained. Most likely it’s the receiver, which fortunately was still under warranty. If the Geek Squad is going to come out and troubleshoot, they need to get their techs better equipment. With a spare TV & receiver we could have narrowed the problem quickly.

    Unable to set up headphones

    While Geek Squad was very nice and offered suggestions, they were unable to setup my newly purchased headphones to my newt purchased receiver, both purchased from Best Buy. I’ve since returned receiver and headphones, purchased different headphones and still unable to get to work. Probably just need to look on UTube for guidance.

    Nothing was actually repaired. The one, two, three, four tecs told me things were not working. I kinda knew that.

    Trouble Shoot Router

    Agent said he was not allowed to access DVR settings. That if something went wrong I would blame him for it. He worked on router and said now signal is being forwarded that before it was not. He could not verify if remote viewing was resolved. Very friendly and compassionate about my longstanding vandal problem. Very Good Person. I had to hire tech support private company to resolve the problem. They said they had to configure my router again and they accessed my DVR settings. They verified in front of me with their Smart phone that the remote viewing was back in order. They provided me with a new IP address and helped me to change the Password to the DVR. With this information I made an office visit at Montebello Best Buy Geek Squad and an agent updated my App on my PC and it worked. Remote Viewing from Los Angeles Working Again What a Relief!
