Poor installation and even worse customer service.

Upon installation of the radio, the microphone did not work at all, which defeated the purpose of a hands free radio. The cord for apple carplay (had to purchase a 6 foot long cord) did not have enough slack to even pick up the phone when plugged in. The cord began to rip due to the way it was fed through the console. Trying to get in contact with the store is almost impossible. After many calls, I finally got through to customer service, and after 35 minutes the woman told me to just call my store for return. I informed her that it is impossible to reach the store and ask her to connect me to them. She said that it is the same process for her but she would stay on the line until she reached them and transferred me. Being put on hold again, the phone began to ring once and then she HUNG UP on me after a total of 40 minutes on the phone. I ultimately drove down there and one of the associates was able to connect with the installation workers for the next day to remove and return the radio. The workers that day were very nice and efficient. Overall, I will not be purchasing anymore product requiring installation from Best Buy, because in the event it is not working, the customer service is AWFUL.

Absolute horror story

Thursday evening I get a text from delivery service..they will be there 10-2 (I signed up for 12-8). Next day at 12:00 I get another text from the delivery service saying my product won’t be in till the next day..I should call Best Buy. I try to call..6 times I get hung up on, on one call I could hear roosters, 3 times nobody even answered. I go to the actual storefront…nobody there knows anything either. Website still showing updated delivery info that it is being delivered today. I go to customer service and a manager tells me he will look into it. One of the calls tells me it has actually been picked up by the delivery service and they’re just running behind and I should ignore the text. Another person tells me this is beyond the scope of her job. At 7:30 pm that same day the manager calls back and says he found it it had been delayed due to the hurricane. Says it took a lot of digging to find out what happened. And he doesn’t know how delivery will be rescheduled. He actually has the nerve to laugh on the phone. I am in no mood to laugh. I paid over $800 for an item, wasted my entire day, and will probably need a massage to relax from all the aggravation. I have NEVER had such horrible service in my entire 57 years of buying countless items. Best Buy has always been my go to but we are getting a friends divorce. I will NEVER EVER EVER step foot in this store ever again..not even if they are the last atore on earth.

awful service is their legacy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always had bad experiences with Best Buy, specifically their insurance policies...do yourself a favor, don't buy them- they never honor them. But lets get to the current issue which started with them not honoring their price guarantee, see the pattern. Although I showed prove of discordant pricing between them an a major competitor (Home Depot), they would not honor it. I decided to proceed as the appliance (fridge) fit perfectly in the space I had and it was not available at the other store- even thought it was a $500 price difference. During the delivery, they gave me a 5 hour window which they kept extending by an hour and ultimately cancelling. By then I had emptied out the old fridge, making it ready for removal as was told to do. In the afternoon, they sent me a message to call corporate to rearrange delivery, only to find out that the only possible window was over a week away!!! What awful service. Make sure that you do not follow their instructions and get rid of all of your food, or your will probably lose quite a bit of money.

Why do I need to add a title for the worst service

Hands down the worst customer service I have ever received in my life. They (Best Buy and their associates) simply do not care about people, their lives or what they may have going on in their lives. No one answers the calls. When you call your local store you end up speaking to someone that isn't local. You don't talk to the same person handling your account, you can't get any of the answers you're looking for and lastly every person you talk to simply just doesn't give a darn* about what your concern is. It's all a joke to them and so is their customer service. Absolutely unreal.

Ego runs wild

Marcus owes me and young an apology. He was wrong, but kept calling me wrong over and over I actually told him he was "obscenity" can't write it due to guidelines.and kept telling him to shut it! (His mouth) about 20 times! When I proved him wrong, no apology, and the geek squad agreed with me but didn't know that, I never spoke with them., and said it was a defected one, but Markus didn't agree with them !! He came to his own stupid conclusion. Which was bull.anyway, avoid Markus when shopping in computer dept.hes a narcissist, and ego bigger than the store. Since he never apologized for arguing with me, he owes his co worker, young, an apology for speaking to him very condescendingly and RUDE in front of me. I was youngs customer, not Markus' . My best buy exp. WAS aweful. And I hope they get rid of Markus, you don't argue with a customer who is actually right.proved him wrong, and no apology. And not even agree with what the geek squad told him. Never second guess the geek squad. They know a lot more than Markus. Go see Young if you want to shop the computer dept. Or go to a different store.

"Beware" delivery company will destroy your home!

The main issue is the delivery company ruined my hard wood floors when bringing the fridge inside my house. Approximately 8 Gauges were put into my floors that went from my tv room, living room, and kitchen. This happened in August. I revived a quote, sent it to the Best Buy claims department and it took about 4 months to even get a settlement. They settled is $4K less than the quote I received stating the floors were normal wear and tear! They sent out a private insurance company to look at the floors which they stated the floors were absolutely damaged from the delivery company and not normal wear and tear. I have tried calling multiple times. Left voicemails but yet I haven't gotten any responses from Best Buy claims. Very unprofessional. Terrible experience. Best Buy own up and accept responsibility of the company that you pay to deliver your products. Employees at Best Bey have not been to helpful with dealing with this issue.

Terrible work ethics.

The second time I took it in for Windows repair they gave it back to me with the outer case broken beyond repair. It looked to me like they had used it for a frisby. I had asked for a replacement computer and my answer from a store manager was "Thats not going to happen". They then told me they would repair my laptop and it would take 1 week to a month. It has been a month and 3 weeks and they told me that they could not repair it. I was then told two different ways that this was going to be settled. It went from being replaced to getting a store credit. I payed 600.00 or more for the laptop and the Geek Squad manager told me that he would give me 450.00 credit. I chose to settle on a ipad for 429.00 plus accessories. I was and still angry about the lack of work ethics from the technicians that do the repairs all the way up to the Geek Squad manager to the store manager.

unusually poor GS service

No email, text, so I called and they said its at the store and cant be mailed. Found out someone closed the ticket before it was replaced.

Best Buy customer service is inefficient

Problem however scheduling visit as I was hung up on three times just after getting a person on the line trying to schedule so resorted to web. Apparently I may have two accounts, only one of which is linked to my Total Tech Support contract. There is supposed to be a different charge rate for Total Tech Support members vs other customers. Spent two and one half hours on phone trying to get a resolution when agent just hung up the phone on me. The next day I went to my local Best Buy where I was told that they have the same problems with !-888-237-8289 number for business needs and they couldn't help with the charge problem nor with combining the two accounts, So I cancelled my credit card charge and expect the company to call me

Poor Customer Service

We contacted the seller and they were prompt about sending someone to check it out and even buy a part. Now it’s similar issues where it turns itself off and even pauses in between then eventuality comes back on. The warranty department was contacted and the guy advised my mother that she has to wait until their 3rd home visit before they can replace the tv. The warranty is for 2 years and it expires next month although she’s complained for months and no resolution. Best Buy will never be recommended to any of my family members!!! Poor customer service!!!

Best Buy has horrible customer service.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a Samsung water wall dishwasher at Best Buy and it broke on me. From then on it was just pass the buck. The Geek Squad to Special forces to A&E factory services. A&E Factory Services were the worst ones out of the bunch. They don't know what their doing. They cancelled their day they were supposed to come out to fix the dishwasher and said that I cancelled it. Which I never did! Finally they sent someone out. He figured out it was the mother board. But he never ordered it. When the next guy came out to put it in I asked him where's the motherboard. He told me it would have been delivered here to my house. No motherboard was delivered here. So then this second guy said he ordered it. This back and forth went on for two months. I finally got the motherboard in the mail. This dishwasher is still broken. I am still waiting for A&E Factory services to come out and fix it. I wish I never came to Best Buy for dishwasher.

Very bad customer service

I purchased one refrigerator and they scheduled for me to bring it and install it for me. On first appointment they didn't show up and when I called to the customer service they said just we can reschedule it.So I rescheduled again and they didn't show up again. So they rescheduled again. The last time they came and told me they can't give me my refrigerator because it's heavy and it's hard for them to unloaded from the truck.So they just left.I never seen this kind of customer service in any places. I'm surprised how they still have business with this customer service.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

They say they "price match" on their website, but then they have a bunch of fine print that prevents you from actually price matching whatever you found elsewhere. They had me on hold on the phone for 30 MINUTES just to come back and tell me they couldn't do the price match. Then, when I asked to be transferred to a supervisor, they put me on hold for ANOTHER 30 MINUTES to "get me a call back appointment" with a supervisor. So a waste of an hour of my time for nothing.

BEST BUY HORRIBLE SERVICE - NOT GEEK SQUAD

After scratch off I had an online offer code of 10% off before 12/13/20. I tried to order some items online and it would not take the offer code. After several attempts, I called and was eventually connect after 30 minute hold. I was asked and gave 2 skew codes for the product and was disconnected. No return call even though they had the number. I went back to try and use code. Thinking I needed to maybe confirm first then apply code, I ended up purchasing at full price. I then contact online text service and was told I could only use phone to get code applied. I called and again after 30 minute hold, the agent took 25 minutes to research it and said he needed to send me to next level since I was Elite Member. They reviewed and said they were having problems with those Mystery code offers not working online. I needed to go into the store and since I already actually purchased, I would need to return items and repurchase. Horrible customer service especially for their admitted problems. Waisted way too much time on this.

They never called me to let me know my television was not going to be delivered on the day they scheduled. When i called customer service, someone named Mark outright lied to me. He told me i could pick my tv up from the local store, which was a lie, and then he told me he would schedule my delivery for the next day, which was also a lie. They never scheduled my delivery at all. I gave them the reference number and they said it was blank. I had to pay my guy that i scheduled to install my tv and the supervisor told me there is nothing they could do to help; me. This was the worst experience i ever had buying anything in my life. Horrible customer service and a company that is okay with their staff telling an outright lie to their customers will probably not be around very much longer. Good luck to anyone who purchased an extended warranty from them

Bad communication and delayed delivery

At 8pm, I call to check in--get disconnected--then I go to the chat feature and I'm told it will be at my house by 10pm. Then I get a call at 10:30 pm from the delivery guy saying nothing is getting delivered, but it will come tomorrow by 12pm. The next day I get an email it's coming 2 days later with another window of 12pm-6pm. I ask if I can pick it up at the store--they won't even let me do that. Very poor communication skills.
