I needed a way to charge via an outlet in the car and this does just that. It is however loud when you decelerate and makes this high-pitched whirring noise. It is convenient to use when you need to plug in an adapter chord that isn't compatible with the car charger and is a 3 prong plug or a plug that uses a normal outlet.

Works great to charge any devise while we are on the road. My significant other and I love road trips and this allows her to charge her laptop (to work from the road when necessary) and our cell phones and any other device we have with just the cigarette lighter port in my car.

Recently I drove a road trip through Nevada, Utah, Idaho, then back to California, camping remote and rough with no electricity. I was able to charge my laptop and iPhone at the same time on drives between locations thus being able to take lots of pictures and videos for family and friends and also being able to work on a manuscript on my laptop. I found the charger indispensable on my road trip!

A lifesaver for charging and using my laptop in the car—and at a reasonable price point. I’m not sure why I waited so long to buy this charger, but it has already saved me a few times! As other reviewers mentioned, it does make a slight whirring noise while charging, but it’s not distracting or loud. Highly recommended!

Works great, just what we needed for the car to keep a laptop charge up on a long trip, would be nice with the long plug in cord it has, which is great, that for storage it had a way to coil it up. Not a big deal but would be nice. Could use the USB ports and keep cell phones charged at the same time and out of one plug in

I like the size over other products I have used. It ride great in the truck driving around. It is just slightly to large it fit in some cup holders. Also it doesn't make any noise like some inverters.

CyberPower - RoadTrip 160 Power Inverter: Bought this before a trip with the kids - one has a iPad mini and the other a Windows tablet/computer. At first I had trouble finding a car-plug-in for the laptop (regular 110 volt plug) and then I found this. It was nice to only use one car plug to charge both devices! Seemed to work pretty well on our trip and it helped keep the kids occupied without worrying about batteries dying!

So I needed to buy this to use it for a pump machine. I am currently breastfeeding & me & my spouse went to a concert. I used it in the car. Works great! Didn't overheat. USB outlet was a plus. I got to charge my phone at the same time :). Haven't used it for any other electronic.

This a very nice gadget to have. It came to my rescue when I was traveling in the car and at the same time was working on my laptop and had to charge my cell phone too since I was using it as the hotspot. It was a 3 hours travel and this thing worked like a charm!

Bought this charger to power my laptop and/or video disc player for extended car travels before this year's summer vacation-- helps keep the kids out of each others' ears. It is compact and can fit in any of the car's lighter fittings as an out of the way charger. It also works well as a spare charger for the cell phone charger

Bought this because I am always on the road or waiting somewhere I don't have access to a plug for my laptop but with this I am able to make sure that my Surface is charged. I really recommend this if you are someone that is dependent on your gadgets not going dead and no place to charge them. Only caution which the package says is make sure it stays cool or the fans get going pretty good.

I read reviews about it about making a loud noise and was hesitant about purchasing. So far I've used it and I do not notice any loud noise at all, I can use my surface in my car and plug it easily and work on it for hours without any problems. I love this product and it has saved me many times from not running low on battery.

This is a handy little device that is perfect for charging computers and other devices, as it has a plug and USB port for charging. It is very durable and has a rotating feature to arrange in different positions depending on where your cigarette lighter is located. I highly recommend this. It will last a while. It is quiet, and it provides a great charge for those long car rides.

Purchased this power inverter to use while in the woods checking game camera's. My laptop battery would last through uploading pics from 5 game camera's. My ATV has an outlet that I can plug in the inverter and plug up the laptop. Works Great!

Inverter works just as it's supposed to. Haven't had any issues. They're is space for one usb and one traditional plug. My only complaint is that it can be a bit noisy, but the sound is easily drowned out by the radio.

Nice portable charger for the car. The one thing I noticed is that it is a little noisy. It isn't quite as loud when it is charging your device.

Nowadays everyone uses computers on the road. I bought this device when headed out on a road trip with my family so my kids could plug in their devices and charge them but also use them at the same time without having to worry about my portable chargers being stretched out front seat backseat. I can actually charge for devices using this.

I have only used this one time but it worked as advertised. I was in a car for 8 hours and needed to get a report written. I plugged my surface into it and used a hotspot on my phone and it worked flawlessly. I just keep it in the car now for future use.

Worked perfectly from the moment I set it up in my vehicle. Used it constantly for the ride to South Carolina. My wife was able to watch her movies for the entire trip. She was able to keep herself amused and never complained about the time it took until we arrived.

I desperately needed a charger for my MacBook Pro laptop while riding as a passenger because my battery doesn't last that long, and this worked like a charm! This is extremely useful because it has a regular plug. It's hinged to fit in tight spaces, too. I was able to plug a different device in as well.
