Customers frequently mention the M140BUC 140 W Power Inverter's excellent overall performance and compatibility with various devices. Positive feedback highlights its reliable operation and ability to power devices such as refrigerators and laptops. However, some users noted that the inverter produces some noise during operation and can get warm after extended use. These minor drawbacks appear to be outweighed by its generally positive performance.

Hello ThomasF, it is not advised to use a heating pad with this product, and that is an expected behavior. The inverter's maximum continuous power output is 140 watts, and heating pads can draw more power than that, potentially overloading the inverter and causing damage and overheating.

Hello, it is not typically recommended that laptop chargers, or any high power inverters, that are close or even a bit less than the full power capacity of the inverter itself. That is because laptop inverters are expecting pure sinewave power to invert the power from AC to DC to charge your device. This car inverter outputs a simulated or stepped sinewave output and the laptop charger needs to work harder and pull more power from this device than it is able to handle. Because the process of converting your cars DC to AC with this travel adapter back to AC to DC with your laptop charger is highly inefficient, it is recommend you purchase a laptop charger meant for your laptop to have a DC to DC conversion.

works for a while, so good in a pinch, but the end piece that plugs into the cigarette lighter socket tends to comes apart. there is a little turnable thumb wheel part at the shiny plug in end. keep it tight. i have more than 1 cyberpower inverter unit, they are not so good for durability. i wish best buy would offer more or different brands of these things since best buy is my go-to for this kind of thing.

Hello, that "fan noise" you hear is not a fan as there is no fan in this product, more than likely you are hearing the inverter working which is not really normal for this product. I would encourage you to reach out to our support team at 1.877.297.6937 so that we can fully troubleshoot the product as the overheating could have something to do with the noise.
