    Bad App(le) or a Rotten Bunch?

    Once upon a time these bulbs worked pretty well. Then about three months ago they launched a new app and the bulbs won't connect to the app anymore. I've tried doing a factory reset a couple dozen times to no avail. The good news is, they turn on when I flip the light switch. The bad news is that I can't control the brightness or the color/hue, I can't automate them, and they randomly flicker on/off.

      Hi Stiiv, sorry to hear that you had this experience with the release of our new app! All of your devices and settings from the previous app should have been migrated over. You may have to connect to the home location that you had previously in order to see your devices under go to settings, switch home > check for other locations.     The lights are pretty easy to use. The app is intuitive and offers some great features. If recommend these lights for anyone looking to smarten up their lighting.

    they were good but I just do not like how the white is not bright at all. they would just flash

    Looks good, app will grab a lot of data

    Ok, I did not light these up. I read the privacy info on what data was collected, and they were grabbing a lot more data they what they needed to operate an TCPIP based device. Enough so I didn't even want to load the app on my phone. I have decades of IT experience, so know what is needed to run a device like this. If you don't care about what companies know about you, seems to be a good device. That's why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1. Pity.

      Security is of utmost importance to us here at 'Cync'. Our Team does not have access to any data on your phone. We require bluetooth and Wi-Fi be enabled upon setup, so that the device can connect to your local network and function as a 'Smart Device'. Camera, microphone etc can all be turned 'Off' in your phone's app settings. Though, even when 'enabled', we still do not have the capability to see any of your personal information.     3 of the 4 bulbs work fine. 1 bulb does not work on a schedule. It only works manually

    SCAM. Nonfunctional, data-mining app. No smart.

    I literally cannot rate these bulbs on any aspect of their functionality except turning on. The app that supposedly controls these costs either $12/month or $70 "forever" and seems largely to be a scam. It is impossible to connect to and change settings on these bulbs without paying for the app, and many users thereof report that after paying, it still doesn't work. Stay away from these. I'll probably never buy smart bulbs ever again. Best Buy, for the love of gods, please do some quality control checking here. I should not have to report LIGHTBULBS AS A SCAM.

There are other apps that show up in the search results when searching for the Cync app that are scam apps. The Cync app has a black logo with the letter 'c' surrounded by a light aura.     I could not get these to work. I tried everything I could, but they would never connect to the app. I had to return them.

    These work but not the seamless smart solution i was wanting. Ended up giving them to the teenage kids. If you are forced to Reset a bulb, IT'S RIDICULOUSNESS

    The install was a absolute nightmare and having to reset them will have you longing to return them. When they do work it’s not too bad at all.
