If you have issues with disconnection, D-Link suggests that you try possibly moving the camera to a different location that may be more in the line of site with your router or wireless access point. But if you want to have it looking outside through a window, nothing will show at night. Because the infrared lights reflect back in the window. And it does send you notifications of movement, but it does not take a snap shot. By the time I got to look at the feed, whatever was there was gone.

Basic camera

It took a few tries to get it to connect to the wifi, but appears to be working okay now. It only works in real time, but allows you to take pictures of the video through the app. There is sound available, but it is only received. You cannot talk back through the camera to the room.
