The picture isn't crystal clear but is that really necessary if you're just trying to keep an in on your place? This camera has a nice motion detection feature that I wouldn't expect at this price point.

They will work great for months and then a new update breaks everything until you update the firmware. This camera lacks the ability to record the footage, but it still has the motion sensing email alerts. I haven't found one better for the money, yet.

I can check on my elderly mother at home from my mobile phone, without calling her on the phone. I also use it to monitor her when she is in another room, and I am working in the office, etc. This is a basic camera, depending on your needs. I like the HD pan/tilt the best, but you don't need those in every room.
