Hard to get hooked up even with d-link modem. turns off all the time. If I could find receipt I would return it.

If you want to see something in live time, it is fine. If you want to use it for surveillance, not so good. By the time you are notified and can log in, the person is gone. There is no recording available.

This camera provides great surveillance through my smart phone when I am someplace else! Great technical support for set up as well! I'm thinking of purchasing a couple of additional cameras for other locations.

Little disappointed. Have it aimed at our thermostat and very hard to read. Troubleshooter with company but still no better. Easy to read nostalgic.

Need a product I could keep an eye on my dogs while away from the house on my phone. Thisproved to fit the bill day and night. Very pleased and easy to set up.

Replaced all of my 930's. These connect much better and are HD. Very simple to install with the Ethernet cable. Not good to connect WPS. Bought 4 of them.

Works well as as a first webcam for remote viewing. I use it to check weather at my home while away. Only 4 stars because some of the setup required the Mobil app. Would have rather used my computer.

Inside works awesome and can see everything, point towards a window and outside kinda hard to can't see anything.

This product does everything it says it doesn't work so great over the Internet and remit remote viewing problem is it has a tendency to store on your iOS devices

I mounted a few of these cameras around my house, and they work ok. I was running the recording software but it kept crashing the PC it was on so I stopped it. The larger issue is when you get a notice to update the firmware on a camera, it keeps popping up and requires a wired connection to perform. Since I bought these as wireless cameras, they aren't installed near wired connections. It is a real pain to unmount them and connect a wire for the firmware update.

It's a good enough camera for a baby monitoring device. The only con I have is you can speak through the camera only listen.

It sends a clear picture and works well but has none of the recording or alert features that more expensive web cams have which I miss.

When monitoring the camera on the same network it is connect to, i.e. closed loop, the video is typically 12fps (which is below what the manufacturer specifies); the audio is ok and has no dropouts. But, when monitoring remotely over the internet or via the cellular network the video has never exceeded 2fps, which for all practical purposes is not video but still photos twice a second, plus the audio has frequent dropouts. Lastly, having worked in the tech industry my entire career I still found the initial setup to be quite challenging. I would not buy this product again.

If you buy this, save yourself some time. I could not get the mobile app to work so I signed onto the website (box instructions say to do mobile app- Ignore). Use Firefox or Explorer on your computer. It does not work on Chrome or the like. If you do this, you should not have to call customer service. Set-up is easy IF you are on the right browser. Once you have everything working on your computer, you can do the mobile App. For me it is easier to set things up on my laptop. 1st camera and after I got it working, I like it. Bought it to catch a animal. Further help: !. take item out of box, connect Ethernet line to wireless internet. 2. plug in the power cord 3. go to mydlink.com and click on Not Registered to create an account 4. go through the steps and you should be all good. If you get a black screen on your view - see browser suggestion above. Once you register, you can unplug the Ethernet cord and just have the power cord. It walks you through all the steps. Yes, it does not have a battery and has to have a power source. Camera has great quality and its pretty cheap. If you just want to be able to check on your house, this is a good buy. If you want time stamps and extras, this is not the one for you. Hope this helps make up your mind! Oh, one more note. Mine was a return so if you are not sure if your camera is new, just get a pin out (earrings are perfect) and reset the factory settings. There is a small hole on the back of the unit. Hold for at least 10 seconds. This wipes out everything. Good luck! IF you have to call customer service, have your camera handy. They want all the numbers off the unit.

I wanted something cheap and somewhat easy for a first indoor cam. Well...somewhat easy is far from the truth. It's coming together. I only got it to check up on my dog's while I'm away.

Very pleased with night vision view. Wish could get continuos feed via phone but Internet router firewall is not allowing access even with Dlink router too.

I bought it and did not like that it was black and white.should be color during the day and it made a shutter sound every time you walk buy.even w/other cameras that take a motion detection setting they are silent.I think it was probably defective because I know that other models that I have installed do not do that.at least no problems returning it so try 1 the other models like I said work very well.

Can be set up to send emails if motion is detected with or without video.

Purchased to keep tabs on man's best friend while away. For the price it's a good buy. However if your looking to record or for great image quality you should look elsewhere.
