    The camera itself is okay but is not as easy to setup as advertised. It takes two different websites to get everything setup, I had it set to CDT but the emails always showed PDT, email was difficult to set up and pictures/video was never attached to email notifications. I purchased the camera for home security use (can't install alarm system in my apartment). I wanted to monitor if anyone was entering my apartment unauthorized. Once it was set up it never did send pictures or videos. It didn't do me any good to just know there was motion detected, I wanted to see who set it off. Returned the camera to the store.

    Need to keep an eye on things when not in town that's why I bought it D-link did a program update so now I can't access the camera until I go back and plug it in my router I'm in another state!!!!!!!! Not to mention it's wired into the roof so I will have to go up in the attic to disconnect it Run away bad bad bad

    Extremely difficult and time consuming to set up. Ended up spending more on tech help than the camera cost. Then it still failed to perform as advertised. Do not buy. Recommend it to your enemies.

    This camera is a waste of time. It provides live feed after hours of tech support to set up. App keeps crashing. D link website to set up motion detector sensor is impossible to figure out. Unless you want to sit there looking at your smart phone screen there is no point to buy this junk

    This is a cute little camera and as camera's go decently inexpensive. However I found it to have a limited view area and honestly just very basic. If you are looking for a base level camera to view a room in your home go for it.

    Do not update firmware

    I have purchased three of these cameras. DCS-933L, DCS-2330L and DCS-2630L. All three were easy to setup and worked well at first. Soon I started receiving notifications that I needed to update the firmware on these devices. After updating, the DCS-933L will no longer connect wirelessly, the DCS-2330L is now useless at night. You can hear sounds but can't see anything once it gets dark outside, and the DCS-2630L will no longer reconnect to wifi automatically after a power failure. If you do decide to purchase any of these products do not update firmware.

    Setup is not Easy As 1-2-3

    I purchased 2 of these cameras after reading the high reviews across the Internet. Unfortunately, I followed the instructions to the letter and the setup wizard was not able to set up these cameras. Again, while following the instructions, the camera was wired directly to the router (same as PC). The setup software continued spinning and spinning, unable to recognize the device. However, it did recognize it once (after 6 attempts), then asked to create a password. Entered my "universal" password that would meet any password criteria, then get a popup saying that my password does not meet the "criteria." (It really does). Then it refuses to recognize again. I do not have another 2 hours to commit to this device. Luckily, returning it IS EASY AS 1-2-3!!

    TERRIBLE waste of time and money!

    I'm actually a fairly competent person when it comes to setting up the latest devices, apps, etc and trouble shooting. However, that's assuming I'm working with a device/software that actually works! THREE hours of wasted time trying to set up and talking to tech support that couldn't fix anything. Push notifications still not working. I'd set it up correctly, which was confirmed by the tech walking me through the same steps I'd already done. However, while it "looks" like it is set up, it isn't notifying with movement and when I log out/in the push is turned off again. A camera without notifications is pretty much pointless. I might as well just stay home and watch my house 24/7 for the same result. Also six attempts to update their software that just keeps timing out. By the way, it's only wireless if your router has a specific, required button. Otherwise it is tethered to your router with a ridiculously short cable - equally short is the power cord. Tech support set a time to call me back at 10:00 pm EST and each time she tried to confirm she would say PST. After the third time of me saying "Eastern" and her saying PST and said "No! That would be 1:00 am my time and I will NOT be happy....eastern, Eastern..EASTERN!!" It is now 11:20 pm and they still have not called. Guess who's probably getting a call at 1:00 am? Guess which camera is going back in the morning? Do NOT waste your time or money on a Dlink product.

    Don't install the frimware upgrade!

    I installed 3 cameras, working great. Then I downloaded the Firm ware upgrade. Now they don't work, even after a hard reset!

    "quick and easy set up" uh, NOT

    Couldn't even set up the camera. It would search for any cameras but wouldn't find ANY. The only fix they had was to try a wired connection. So I had to try on another laptop that had a RJ45 connection. No luck with that either. Tech support from D-Link was inadequate as they could only tell me to get an install CD from Best Buy and try that...which is not even a valid request. I'll be taking it back and hopefully there is another brand other than D-Link I can try.
