Cannot be set up to ANY recording app I can find

Camera works fine BUT it is not possible to record the video stream. I have searched for several hours now for an app that will record from it but can find nothing. The issue is the mydlink account..all the software i find needs an IP address for the camera but the mydlink doesn't give an IP to the camera (even tried a url translator couldn't convert it to one). UNLESS YOU HAVE THE ABILITY TO EITHER WATCH THE FEED ALL DAY OR CAN CROP EVERYTHING WHEN YOU GET A MOTION ALERT THIS IS A WASTE OF MONEY. I can't do that at my job.

Posted .We appreciate the input you have provided and we are sorry to see that you are unable to setup recording on the camera. To enable recording based on motion and/or sound detection, you will need to use the D-Link D-View Cam app, which can be downloaded on www.support.dlink.com. Once you have the app downloaded and you connected your mydlink account to it, you will be able to enable video recording. Detailed instructions on how to do this can be found on the DCS-933L support page. In addition you can always contact us at 1-877-453-5465 and one of technical support agents will be more than happy to assist you. Thank you for giving D-Link a chance.

Worthless product

The camera is a useless toy (at $70) The setup that come with the product is of no value/ I spent 2 hrs with support to finally get the Wi-Fi working. Never got it working with my IPhone carrier (Verizon with full bars coverage). So I can only monitor my house from my house, although the product says monitor you house from ANYWHERE, I call dlink support again. I asked if my phone was capable if iPhone anywhere, their response was All their cameras, "it has to be your carrier. (Carrier streams movies etc. NO problem. I could go on and on but I might start swearing).

Waste of Money
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not only did it not stay connected without being attached to an Ethernet cable, but while it was I could only access it maybe 50% of the time. Unfortunately I have had it, trying to make it work, for too long and can't return it.

Avoid.

Constantly offline!
