But I kept having problems with recording. Record for a day and then stop and also couldn't play back.

Spy on the dogs sitter

We use it to check on our 3 dogs when we go on vacation. It does look like a camera, so it's not easily hidden unless the dog sitter is unfamiliar with such products. Good picture quality, decent sound quality for our use. Set our minds at ease while we were away.

Tried but couldn't make it work

However, I'm an IT professional and after about 6 hours of working with it, I was never able to get it to work properly with my non-Dlink router. Returned it for the DropCam.

tech support disappoints

I can't get the two way communication to work and I can't get it to move remotely. It has a great range for sitting still where it is and the wifi works really well with it, it's in a completely different room than my wifi router. The night vision is fantastic. I love that I can pull it up on my smart phone but I cannot get it to pull up on my computer. I have windows 7 on one and 8 on the other and neither work for this particular camera. They do work for the smaller more inexpensive camera that I have by DLink though. Maybe it's the HD on this camera, but I would have thought the Windows 8 would have worked then. Hope they get back with me soon. It's been a week.

DLink Video Camera

The only reason I gave this product a4 versus a 5 is because it was difficult for us to set up. We had to contact the help line. They did help us but we had several tries to go through to get it set up. It did not communicate with our router/internet.

The system works as advertised and is easy to set up. Having 2 way audio and infrared are additional assets as well. The compact size and non intrusive design blends right into the room and the camera would make an amazing baby monitor.

It lets me scan the entire room, see what they are doing, take pictures of them, and even talk to the dogs.....all from my iPhone! Seriously, it is my favorite - worth every penny!

Only complaint would be the audio quality, which was poor, in my opinion.
