A wonderful paperweight

In short if you are looking for a camera or simple security system go somewhere else. If you are looking for a very expensive paperweight then D-Link is for you.

The first rep hung up on me twice after a 30 minute wait on hold each time. It actually took almost 1 1/2 hrs. to get camera to work on my new computer when a rep finally helped. Picture is not real clear, (HD) for the price paid. Considered taking the camera back and exchanging it. Online set-up/recording instructions are not real clear. Save your money and check with customer service on other brands.

Please note that you can adjust the Video settings of the camera to suit your optimal needs. By logging into the web interface you can adjust the resolution, FPS, and the video quality. In addition to set up recording on the camera please refer to page 49 of the user manual. There are detailed step by step instructions on how to setup and alter this feature. If you continue to have difficulties please contact D-Link technical support at www.support.dlink.com so they can further assist you in resolving your issues. We thank for for choosing D-Link.

I had high hopes, and this thing wasn't cheap. I promptly returned it and bought a Samsung Smartcam HD Pro Wireless. It was very easy to set up and use. The app is so much easier and user friendly.

They're were 4 open-boxes, mine being the 5th. Decided to buy the Arlo instead. No pan and tilt with Arlo but I'm happy. P.S. Best Buy made me give it a star

Hard to set up. Got Hacked

Shortly after activating we repeatedly received warnings from our email account that someone was trying to sign in but it was being blocked as it was not an authorized user.Soon we started getting alert messages from the device that it was being activated then deactivated. We checked online and found that this device as well as many others by many other companies were being hacked on a regular basis. We returned it that day and email attempts have stopped.
