Excellent!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a little trouble with the installation because of a flaky internet connection, but called customer service at 7 AM EST on a Sunday morning. CASE NUMBER: 6758156 ID # AR004239 The customer service rep was patient, and excellent, and got me up and running. Now i am extremely pleased with this device! Only uses data when I look at it remotely (unlike the Nest cameras), and it works like a charm! Iphone app works great and looks a little clearer than the computer browser view, but both are very serviceable. I recommend using low resolution for best maneuverability of the camera. I'm using this with a limited data hotspot in a remote mountain location, and have confidence it won't use up expensive bandwidth when I don't want it to. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product.

Great Camera for a beginner

She was great with patients of steel, speaking clearly guided me through the set up process. She never wavered, never put me on hold and didn't disconnect the call. She is great.

My experience with setting up my DCS-5222L camera

They were diligent, patient and effecient in getting me set up. Tech support AR004627 was great!

Don't buy this camera
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am so glad I waited 7 months to review this piece of junk. It was hard to set up. Did work fine for a while, but then something messed it up and could only view on cell phone and not browser, and then not even cell phone. Went through customer service which was WORTHLESS: they had me doing other browsers other than internet explorer and this didn't work. Everything they told me to do I already tried and it didn't work. They did update firmware and now it works again, but I cannot get it to record to the microSD card (not included) which sits in the camera. The online help is no help. Find a camera from a company that makes a better user interphase.

Just what I needed

We bought this camera to keep an eye out on our four-legged son while we are at work. The Pan-Tilt allows us to look for him much better than a fixed camera. Easy to set up, software relatively straight-forward. Good purchase.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had so much problems getting my camera to work the I searched had to find the technical support the person I was talking to was all some she desire a raise due to working with me who know nothing about technology. she worked very hard to get my camera to work. for some like me who takes care a cancer patients and the stress I go through every day it was so wonderful that some really cared enough to take the time to help me get this important thing done, thank you again #AR004296 for all of your hard work you are wonderful.

But I was having several problems getting my camera to work. Francesca was professional, patient, and extremely proficient. I even tried to recruit her to my fortune 500 company!! Don't buy this product because it works... which it does. Buy this product b/c myDLink backs it up with superior customer service. I cannot say enough about this company's rep. She did not rush me and answered every question I had... no matter how big or small.

Good Camera, Horrible Product Support from DLink
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this camera from Best Buy and I want to make it very clear that my complaint is not about Best Buy. DLinks customer support is horrible. They do not stand behind their products or their warranties. I have called three times with no resolution to my issues with their product not functioning properly. They do not seem to care about customer loyalty.Camera kept sending me false e-mail motion notifications and DLink could not correct my issue and could not explain what I needed to do to get a replacement working camera. They did tell me that they would e-mail me instructions on what would need to be done if they deemed the camera defective but told me at this time after three attempts that they could do nothing for me until they could verify that the camera was defective. I offered to send the camera back to them for inspection so that they might be able to test it and determine that is was defective and was told that that is not part of their process. They also could not tell me what steps I could take to get a working replacement camera. Horrible experience. If you do not believe me call DLink customer service and experience it for yourself. 1-877-453-5465

Please make sure that you have downloaded and installed the latest firmware from www.support.dlink.com. In addition, note that you can adjust the sensitivity levels of motion detection to suit your preference. To do this, log into the camera's settings and then click on the "Motion Detection" tab. Here you can adjust the sensitivity levels and the area of detection. For detailed instructions view the user manual found on www.support.dlink.com Thank you for choosing D-Link.

Thankfully, after calling customer service, I ended up with speaking with a superb representative named Marvin. He was incredibly knowledgable, helpful, and most of all - patient. He guided me through each step, always ready to help whenever I faltered or encountered any problems. Quite frankly, he was fantastic! Because of Marvin, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase at Best Buy again. Great job!

EASY AND GOOD

I was tempted to return but decided to call in and was very surprised to the level of knowledge and customer service that I received. Also the hold time was nothing like Swann and she was extremely patient with me even though my kids were very loud in the back ground.

Awesome Product

I contacted D-Link and spoke to their employee Carlos #AR 004279. He was very professional and courteous. Carlos was able to correct the issue quickly and explained what was causing the issue. The camera works perfectly. Thank you Carlos!!!!!!!!!!!!!
