First one was a dud...

If the image seems blurry you can turn the lens of the camera to adjust the optical focus. Moving the lens out focuses closer, in focuses farther away. With the lens in as far as it can go the focus should be from a couple of feet to infinty. The one I had would only focus extremely close, and moving the lens out focused it even closer to the point where dirt on the inside of the lens (another quality control issue) was in focus. googling the issue shows that some of these cameras do have this defect but most of them are ok, so if you get a bad one, exchange it.

DCS-5222LB1 needs more work on firmware
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.All went well during initial setup and configuration. Good quality picture, ok low light performance. However, setting up dual event motion detection causes device to crash. First one would not come back even with factory reset. Second one had same problem, would recover after factory reset, but never stable. I really wanted to keep this camera, liked the picture quality, remote access via mydlink worked well. If one never went past remote surveillance would probably work ok, but moderately complex event configuration not doable with latest firmware on version B1.

Jumpy Picture, Audio Inop

Only thing that works well is night vision. iPhone software is full of bugs. Picture frames bad even at low resolutions. Audio is useless, can only hear choppy feedback.
