    WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE

    Contacted customer service to setup a DCS-5222L. After speaking to 2 reps the 3rd one asked for my phone number. When I said I didn't need to provide my number to get customer service he said it was their policy not to provide customer service if I didn't give them my number. I gladly told him I was packing the product and returning it. He said ok. There you have it. Packing it up and back it goes tomorrow. Not worth the hassle and installation is too much trouble. I have a Samsung wireless that took minutes to setup.

    I bought this camera to keep a watch on our family pet while we are away. This camera was fairly easy to setup by following the instructions that were included. W are able to use the APP on our iPhone to view the camera. We plan also to use this camera as a baby monitor also, it has sound too. Great camera.

    I'm not sure if all of these security network cameras are the same but I was unable to setup the camera because it couldn't get pass step 1, which was to connect to the internet. The light was green but the setup menu on the PC said that it was unable to find the camera. I tried connecting to my FIOs router and still the same thing. Needless to say I feel as if I had wasted my time. The camera is going back and I will not buy another d-link camera again.

      We wish to thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that you had problems trying to connect to the internet. We recommend that you try resetting the DCS-5222L by pushing the reset button located on the back of the DCS-5222L with the end of a paperclip for about 10 seconds and then power cycle the unit by turning off the power /unplugging the unit from the power source for about a minute and then plugging the unit back into the power source. Try connecting the unit to the internet again by following the instructions listed on the Quick Install Guide but beware of the following - The Zero Configuration Setup will only work with a registered Cloud Router and an active mydlink account. Your Cloud Router will automatically assign your network settings (both wired and wireless) to your camera, and add it to your mydlink account. If you do not have a D-Link Cloud Router, skip to the Easy Setup section. The Easy Setup (for use with all Other Routers), if you do not have a D-Link Cloud Router, utilizes the Setup Wizard downloaded from
      http://www.mydlink.com/support. Once the Setup Wizard has been downloaded and installed you may use any Windows or Mac computer to go through the Setup Wizard, which will guide you through the installation process, from connecting your hardware to configuring your camera. If you continue to have a problem please contact D-Link technical support at www.dlink.com/support or call 1-877-453-5465 for further assistance. Thank you for choosing D-Link.DLinkUS

    Put camera up to monitor my ailing wife. Connects on my local network and via internet with the DLink app. On laptop, iPad and iPhone. Connectivity is broken via the internet occasionally, and the 5 minute timeout is very annoying. Good value for my needs. Replaced another vendors camera, that broke when I needed it most.

    Good product, lousy in box manual

    To set up a record or snap shots, must have ''Internet Explorer ''' ONLY,!!! Microsoft Edge or Android operating systems will not work. Thanks to D- link English speaking and clearly understanding support Mr.Greg employ #: AR004215. Sincerely Robert C.

    Picture quality is excellent. I have it in my work space that has no windows and is pitch black and you can see everything very clearly. My issue is that the sound barely ever works.

    Hugely Lacking

    Bought this because it was in the middle of my price range and I like the fact that it could move, had two way mic, and "HD" quality video. I ignored everyone's poor reviews and bought it! I wish I had listened to their reviews better. The set up is a PAIN. Their website and app are terrible. The video quality is okay if you're in the house. As soon as you leave, it's slow and choppy. To pan or tilt the camera takes forever. The app crashes constantly. It stopped being recognized by my computer (I have a Mac) and I returned it before I even had it 24 hours. Terrible product. Bought a dropcam for $30 moreand love love it.

    I bought this camera a year ago i contacted dlink for support and they could not solve the problem. Here it is very simple, i have no idea if its my camera or is just settings but i went through dlink camera settings and nothing. My camera problem is: IT ONLY RECORDS 4 SECONDS EVERY MINUTO IT MEANS THAT I MISS ALMOST EVERY THING THAT THE CAMERA SEES THROUGH THE LEN!. Please if someone can help me i would appreciate. I need to record second by second. Thank you

    The picture quality is very good , the panning is good as well , the audio is fair. The tech support is very good , agent AR004211 walked me through a set up issue and she was awesome . I would commend this camera to anyone.
