I purchased this external backup to protect my files. It is so easy to use. I backup once a week and feel secure that important files will always be accessible. Great product. Very affordable.

Best Buy has reliable and great customer service representative. I had my data transfer to my new laptop and the tech told me to come back in 2 hr. Bam! After 2 hr my laptop is ready for pick up.

Purchased the extend plan with the Geek Squad and they did a great job transferring my old hard drive data to the new unit; as well, they installed my new software and older tax ones as well, perfectly.

While it was nice to have someone else scour my computer to make sure that I got all my files in spite of maybe less than stellar file structuring, I was not expecting to have all my files dumped into a single folder. Yep. All just planted on my desktop in a "geek squad transfer" folder. So to truly get my files situated, I had to manually put them back into folders on the new PC. Really pricey for the equivalent of someone popping all my files onto a thumb drive and then dumping them into a folder on the new PC.

The experience was good not great. We've had up and down experiences with the geek squad. We've used there services for years so I guess that is to be expected. This time they rushed me a little to much when I went to pick it up. I had questions and I didn't get all the help I needed this time. Now I have to just keep calling in to ask questions. I would recommend NOT letting them rush you. Calling in is VERY time consuming and the wait time is lenghty.

I thought I had lost all of my daughters baby pictures when my computer crashed. Luckily they recovered them and transfer them. They were also so nice and fast about letting me know everything was okay.
